Chapter 22 - Medicine Witch

The Great White Goose was particularly sensitive to clean water, and Dill placed the turnip on the ground and followed it, and sure enough, she soon heard the sound of a stream.

Dill tried to quicken her pace, but the sound of armor clattering behind her always followed, reminding Dill not to try to shake off the burden.

If only it had wings. She stared at the turnip's fluffy feathers, and her eyes were quickly drawn back to the swaying white rump, but it seemed like this big fat goose couldn't fly too well. Isn't it time to reduce its weight?

The big white goose, whose buttocks were wagging happily, did not notice the dislike of his partner, and in a flash, he dug into a small clump of bushes, and the dill following him plucked away a small tuft of wild berries, and a few young leaves fell on his shoulder, and then a breath of cool water came to his face.

The umbrellas of the trees sifted down mottled broken light, sparkling silver ribbon in the stream between the rocks winding, opening up a small place of secluded water.

Dill casually found a piece of creek rock and sat down. She was finally able to properly organize her medicine cabinet.

She hadn't been able to take a closer look before, and now she almost didn't recognize her own belongings. The shell of the medicine cabinet had been re-lighted, and the flowers, plants, and colorful butterflies on it looked as if they would leap out at any moment. All the seams had been replaced with beautiful patterns of lacquered gold. It looked like an imported product from the Orient that had traveled across the ocean, so it was no wonder that Mu Xia had decided that this was his luggage.

Presumably it was modeled after the craftsmanship of the Great Fable game box, right? Amber did not know how long he had been secretly pondering and again had to rush to the day before departure to weave the young girl's thoughts and phantom dreams that came out of her mouth one by one with a fine magic spell.

Running her hands over the delicate, unmarked craftsmanship on the top, it seemed possible to imagine how Amber could scold and tinker with it at the same time, and at moments like this, it actually made her inexplicably want to smile easily.

Suddenly, there was a strange voice in her ear:

[Successful link: please bind the authorized object immediately to unlock the relevant power].

???? She wasn't drinking this time! Dill stared at her medicine cabinet; this time she was sober enough to be pretty sure the voice was rooted in her head.

Please bind the authorization object now!

Authorized object? Can you explain that more clearly?

[Authorized Object: Silver Chalice of the Moon Goddess.]

Really answered me?

But in a few moments, Dill had no room to think.

In front of the Silver Knight, who wore a holy sword at her waist, the witch's hand opened the door of the magic potion box in a cold and calm manner.

Witches always carried bottles and jars of dubious herbs with them, but in Dill's case, it was a wooden lattice of countless small drawers; each of them was written in vermilion with square, exotic characters. Dangling from the doors on either side of the chest were small, oddly styled glazed objects and silk-scented sachets stuffed with herbs and tea crumbs. The pleasant ringing of the bells and the scent of the incense made people relax their guards, and the wooded field instantly became a quiet and pleasant little green pharmacy.

The knight looked on in wonder, not realizing that he was already in the witch's workshop. If it were a cruel witch, just a small rub of herbs at her fingertips, she could make the young and strong knight die peacefully in his sleep, without a trace.

But Dill had no time to care about the other party, she was secretly slipping the tiny silver cup into the hidden compartment.

[Binding successful, uploading authorization request... Goddess of the Moon agrees to the request, opening the lower-order power [Magical Girl's Food Cupboard]]

The immense confusion almost didn't explode Dill's head.

Moon Goddess consent request? Goddess, what did you agree to when I was being rolled like a keg? What's a magical girl's food cupboard?

In a mess of confused emotions, the desire to survive still prevailed, behind a strong silver knight, the helpless, weak little witch struggled to control her body.

With a single, unimpeded sound of a bottle being opened, Dill found a small bottle of plum wine, ignoring the glowing eyes of the person across from her, and gave herself a bracing swig first, unable to think left or right, she simply went straight to using alcohol to paralyze her thinking circuits.

The pseudo-Dill began to pretend to tinker with the medicine cabinet, she quickly began to bring into character, frowning as she listened to the knight, wearing an expression of trying to understand.

Seeing the lovely maiden frowning in this manner, the knight's clear green pupils couldn't help but smile, his light golden eyelashes seemingly gilded with light.

The rags collected over the years have worked wonders, the knight's gaze is only curious and not skeptical, a woman who travels alone with her medical skills is suspicious, but a doctor from the East Coast who is full of strange and bizarre things is a guest from a foreign land.

Dill seemed to see a hint of respect in the other woman's eyes, and wondered if she was acting too well. However, she was really energized, left and right can not go away, might as well make a good show of mystery, to recover some of the face of the front.

She pulled out a small bronze-looking glass with a long handle attached, which Amber had slipped in at some point. Dill pretended to look at the injury on her opponent's hand, but in fact, she hoped that she could use this magic item to see through her opponent's physical weaknesses and increase her chances of survival if her identity was revealed.

Of course, half-assed, she still didn't see anything.

"Huh?"

Dill suddenly grimaced and snapped off her looking glass.

"Guess you were wrong about the crate that smashed into you."

It was only then that Mu Xia realized that he was extending his left hand, and a beautiful blush quickly spread from his cheeks to the roots of his ears. The young girl on the opposite side had already packed up her things in a swift manner, picked up the big white goose, stood up and was about to leave

"Wait, wait... "

Her hand was pulled violently, and Dill was about to get angry when her eyes sharpened.

"My upbringing tells me not to let a lady go forward alone."

The young girl's dark and bright eyes glared over, and Musha lowered his head in some embarrassment, as if he were afraid of being seen through that little bit of mind. He eased his tone and compromised:

"At least let me send you to the town ahead."

"There's a town ahead."

Dill's words just fell, the leaves of the trees in the distance, vaguely mixed with the sound of clamoring people.

Help... Help!

Dill looked through her looking glass and saw that a small black dot—a child—was floating in the turbulent undercurrent!
