Chapter 4 - Rule the world

Xingluo was an ordinary cultivation planet, a tiny speck in the vast cosmos of myriad cultivation planets. The Bili family, situated in the southern part of Xingluo, was a large cultivation family. However, even though it had some reputation on Xingluo, outside of this planet, it was insignificant.

Yet, within this seemingly small family, there were clear distinctions and hierarchical constraints between the main family and the branches. Bili belonged to one of the branches and wasn't considered a decision-maker in the family. However, due to Bili's existence, this branch held a significant position. Bili was hailed as a rare genius in the Bili family, expected to reach the realm of Saint King at the age of less than thirty. If this were to happen, Bili would not only become a core member of the family but also elevate the status of the branch significantly.

So, when Bili and the others safely returned, the high-level members of their branch rushed over, showing great concern to ensure nothing happened to Bili. Even the head of the Bili family sent representatives to visit because everyone knew that if Bili didn't meet an untimely end, he would undoubtedly become a pillar of the Bili family in the future.

After dealing with the exhaustion of the day and seeing off all the well-wishers, Bili finally returned to his room, sharing a wry smile with his wife. The two didn't want to disturb so many people, but the situation this time was destined to be troublesome. They learned from the representatives sent by the family head that the Bili family would take action against the Gongsun family to seek justice for Bili.

"Sigh, troubles in the autumn, it seems the days ahead will be difficult!" Bili stood by the window, looking at the sky through the gap in the curtains, his emotions unable to calm down for a long time. Because Bili knew that as the initiator of this incident, he couldn't stay aloof from the matter.

Within the first month of returning to the family, Bili and his wife didn't venture outside. They decided that, until Ahui gave birth to their child, they wouldn't leave, fearing another mishap. After the turmoil in the forest, Bili and his wife had made up their minds. However, they heard from the representatives sent by the family head that the Bili family would seek justice against the Gongsun family because of this incident.

Returning to the family for a month, Bili and his wife did not go out but stayed in their room. After the forest incident, they had decided that, until Ahui gave birth to their child, they would not venture outside, fearing another mishap. Although the two hadn't left their home, many people came to visit, and Bili was quite adept at handling them. However, among these visitors, Bimin never appeared.

"Ahli! Ahli!"

As Bili had just sent away a visiting younger relative, Bimin finally appeared. He hadn't entered Bili's yard yet, but his loud voice could be heard from a distance. Bili, who was about to get up and return to his room, smiled and turned back to the courtyard. From a distance, he could see Bimin running towards him with sweat on his forehead.

"Ahli, good news! Great news!" Even before reaching Bili, Bimin's voice had already arrived. He shouted loudly, causing complaints from people in neighboring courtyards.

Bili responded with a smiling face because Bili was very familiar with his elder brother's straightforward and sometimes clueless character. Although they were siblings, their talents and personalities were entirely different. Bili was a genius in both cultivation and interpersonal relationships, while his elder brother, Bimin, had average talent and often made foolish mistakes. Despite this, Bili felt a deep affection for Bimin because of his simple and caring nature towards family.

"Big brother, what good news has you so worked up?" When Bimin approached, Bili didn't immediately inquire about the good news. Instead, he guided Bimin into the yard, poured him a cup of tea, and asked him to calm down first.

"Hey, given the situation, who cares about tea!" Despite Bili's attempts to offer tea, Bimin was too impatient to drink. He quickly gulped down a scalding cup of tea and handed Bili a prescription, saying, "Ahli, although our attempt to seek medical help in Boyuan City failed last time, I asked a friend this time and managed to get a prescription from that famous herbalist. Have your sister-in-law take the herbs listed here; I guarantee it will give birth to a smart and chubby nephew for me!"

In a few words, Bimin explained the situation. Over the past month, he had been trying various means to get this prescription for Bili, as a way of making amends. Due to the incident last month, Bimin didn't dare to go directly to the Gongsun family's territory, so he had to use connections to get things done. It took a month of effort to obtain the prescription.

"Big brother..." Looking at the prescription in his hand, Bili didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He didn't expect his elder brother to be so single-minded, still holding onto this prescription. But thinking about it, a warm feeling surged in Bili's heart. Wasn't his elder brother exactly like this – straightforward and caring for family? Moreover, considering his elder brother's abilities, acquiring this prescription probably came with a considerable effort. With these thoughts, Bili sincerely clasped his hands in gratitude, not saying thanks but carefully examining the prescription.

Seeing the joy on his brother's face, Bimin also felt relieved. At least, he thought, his efforts over the past month weren't in vain.

"Well, these herbs are just for tonifying and nurturing. They're not hard to find. Thank you, big brother!" Bili expressed his gratitude and immediately ordered a servant to fetch the herbs according to the prescription.

Within an hour, the servant brought a steaming herbal soup. Bili took a sniff, confirmed its safety, and, along with Bimin, entered the room to let Ahui drink the medicinal soup. During this process, Ahui, upon realizing it was a gesture from Bimin, thanked him repeatedly. Without hesitation, she drank the herbal soup in one go.

While the three of them were busy fortifying the baby's foundation, the white shadow in Ahui's womb wrinkled its brows. The underdeveloped mouth mumbled with determination, expressing a somewhat resentful meaning. The medicinal soup they were given seemed nourishing, but a combination of certain herbs could produce toxins. Although it wouldn't be fatal to the unborn child, it would significantly damage its vitality.

"Sigh, my parents and that single-minded uncle are all a bunch of people who don't understand medicine!" The white shadow sighed to the sky. If it were an ordinary pregnant woman, drinking this potion might lead to congenital developmental issues for the child. However, the white shadow didn't care. With the alchemical knowledge acquired from its previous life, these low-level toxins were nothing against it.

"It seems that my parents didn't have an easy time in the family. Many people seem to have thoughts of dealing with them!" After a month of observation, Bai Ying had already figured out Bi Li's position and knew that there might be trouble for him once born. Bai Ying could only shake his head helplessly but remained unconcerned. With his strength, these conspiracies posed no threat.

After gathering the abundant spiritual energy in his body and purifying the slight toxin produced, Bai Ying continued to close his eyes to rest. Despite being more than two months away from birth, he had already started cultivating, establishing a solid foundation from an early age.

Feeling the warmth in her abdomen, Ah Hui thought the medicine was taking effect, bringing joy to her face. Bi Li and Bi Min, on the side, praised the miraculous effects of the medicine.

"Ali, since everyone is so happy, why don't we name our nephew today?" Bi Min, on a whim, suggested. Ah Hui smiled and nodded in agreement.

Bi Li, in a generous manner, exclaimed, "Great! Big brother, any suggestions?"

"Hmm?" Bi Min hesitated when asked by Bi Li. Then, overjoyed, he realized that, despite being in his thirties, he was unmarried and childless. Bi Li entrusted him with the task of naming the child, indicating his affection. Bi Min thought for a while, gritted his teeth, and said, "How about calling him Bi Yun? It's a name suitable for both boys and girls!"

Upon hearing Bi Min's suggestion, Bi Li and Ah Hui pondered for a moment and then agreed with nods. Unexpectedly, just as they were about to finalize the name, Ah Hui suddenly felt a sharp pain in her abdomen, collapsing onto the bed, startling both Bi Li and Bi Min.

"Ah Hui, what's wrong?" Bi Li, thinking the medicine had adverse effects, was extremely anxious. Fortunately, Ah Hui quickly recovered from the discomfort and smiled wryly, saying, "Don't worry, Ali. The baby kicked me, causing some pain in my abdomen!" Excitement replaced her previous discomfort as she continued, "I can feel the baby's movements. It's the first time!"

Considering Ah Hui had been pregnant for eight months with the baby rarely showing signs of movement, this sudden activity brought both pain and joy. "Well, it seems the little one heard my suggestion and decided to resist!" Bi Min chuckled and attributed the situation to his casual remark. Little did he know, his offhand joke had turned out to be true, and it was indeed Bai Ying causing mischief. Being named Bi Yun, he was not thrilled about it.

"I need to find a way to give them a hint!" Bai Ying muttered to himself. In a flash of inspiration, he used his soul power to stir the spiritual energy around, creating a disturbance in the air above the city where the Bi family resided. The sky became turbulent, filled with colorful clouds, resembling the appearance of a precious treasure being born.

Sensing the changes, Bi Li and the other two rushed outside, gazing at the colorful clouds as if mesmerized by the beautiful scene.

"What a curious phenomenon. Could it be that the heavens sensed our child's wishes and sent down these colorful clouds as a sign?" Ah Hui blinked her eyes playfully, smiling.

Bi Li, on the other hand, burst into laughter upon hearing this. "It seems quite likely. Since this little one can influence the weather, let's name him Tianqi. I hope he'll have a long and harmonious life with the heavens!"

"Alright, let's call him Tianqi as his nickname, and his formal name will be Biqi. I hope he not only has a harmonious life with the heavens but also that our Bi family can enjoy a harmonious life like him!" Bi Min laughed heartily, feeling extremely joyful. It was perhaps the most gratifying moment in his life.

The white shadow in Ah Hui's abdomen, upon hearing this, also laughed cheerfully. Even though Bi Li and the others shamelessly attributed the weather change to their child, they seemed to understand the true intention. Tianqi, the name from his past life, wasn't it?

"I'm finally back! Yuan Ding Star, wait for me!" The white shadow exuded an exuberant spirit, and its powerful soul force stirred the radiance of the clouds, spreading across the vast expanse.
