And just like that, a month passed in a routine of constant love from Helen and Maria, with Zias eating, sleeping, and reacting to the occasional guests who visited. It wasn't a dramatic change, but a subtle transformation of routine life.
"Maria, why do you think my Zias doesn't cry?" Helen inquired with a slight worry.
"My lady, young master appears to be quite mature for his age," Maria replied with a playful smile as she glanced at Zias, who became conscious of his way of living.
"Wait, how do I cry? Just to show I am crying? I am not an actor," Zias thought annoyingly. To be fair, Zias was not entirely irritated because of the development of their bonds. Helen was a beautiful, caring, doting mother, whereas Maria was an absolutely amazing maid. Sometimes, it made Zias question his previous life. Were parents really this caring? Being an orphan at an early age made him devoid of the feeling of love or care he was experiencing now.
Initially, he got annoyed by their actions, but soon it started to sink in that the love and care they provided were what he longed for – a sense of warmth that his heart unconsciously yearned for in his previous life. He always blamed his parents for leaving him, especially his mother, whom he loved when he was a child. But one rainy day, he found out his parents died in a car crash. Soon after, his uncles and friends sought custody to access his father's funds. He learned this later when almost everything was taken away from him, except his mother's will, which he held very dear. Now, living in a baby's body as a 21-year-old, feeling warmth made him succumb to these feelings, even with a hard exterior that blocked all emotional and vulnerable interactions.
"Decisions made by parents can be wrong, but their intention is never wrong," Zias smiled, remembering this quote. During this brainstorming of thoughts and feelings, a huge uproar outside the castle caught their attention, a wave of energy flowing that even Zias could feel.
"Is this magic?" Zias thought with curiosity.
"It seems Lord Arthur has arrived," Maria said with anticipation.
"You are right, Maria. It's about time he meets Zias," Helen said with a smile.
"Arthur who? Why are they smiling? Also, Lord, my father is not the lord. Hold on," Zias thought, with a lot of questions in his mind. What awaited him was the meeting that would introduce Zias to a new world.
