Lu Yun Xi panicked after realising her burner phone was missing. She was still contemplating what to do next when her cell phone started to ring. Anxiety coursed through her as she glanced at the caller ID and jerked up in surprise.
"Feng Xi!? Why is she calling me?" Lu Yun Xi's hand shook as she hung up the call and threw her cell phone on the bed in frustration after turning it off. "Was it not enough for her to make my life difficult?"
Her mind raced as she paced the room, trying to understand Feng Xi's sudden interest in her. The missing burner phone was a critical issue, but now, Feng Xi's involvement complicated matters further.
"What does she want now?" Yun Xi muttered under her breath, feeling cornered.
On the other hand, Lu Feng Xi kept calling Lu Yun Xi until the phone finally turned off. 'Sister, where are you? Mom and Dad are so sad and miss you so much!' she thought, wiping the corner of her eyes as tears threatened to fall.
