Gina handed Pencil her baby.
"They did this."
Pencil said and handed the baby back to Gina. She got out of the tab dripping everywhere and walked out of the room. Gina followed her walking slowly so she did not slip. They went to a room where eight women lay down in a circle. She stood in the middle and chanted and the women woke up.
"What's going on, how many years has it been?"
One of the women asked but stopped Gina from answering. Pencil looked at them and realised they didn't know what was going on.
"Let's go"
She told Gina and they walked out of there. Gina handed Pencil her baby and went to her room. When Pencil got to her room she waved her hand and the floor started to dry. She shook the boys awake.
"Is it over?"
Kemi asked rubbing his eyes. Pencil slowly guided them out of her room. She placed the baby on the bed and stared at it.
"It seems the cardinals are not behind my pregnancy. I don't know how you got here and no one seems to know anything. "
The baby chuckled.
"Do not laugh you stole my words. Give it back."
The baby blew its lips, blowing raspberries. Pencil made pillow walls on the bed and placed the baby between them. She lay down on the other side of the bed.
"Did you even sleep?"
Pencil asked the baby immediately after she woke up. Its eyes were wide open staring at the ceiling. Pencil started to disassemble the pillow walls when Gina walked in.
"What are you doing?"
Gina asked when she saw Pencil holding a pillow standing over the baby.
"It's not what it looks like."
Gina ignored her and picked up the baby from the bed.
"She is a bad mother, don't worry Aunt Gina will protect you."
Gina said in a baby talk as she walked away.
Things were different for Lilac, people bowed in her presence at school. Everyone stared but she did not mind, she liked the attention. Most attention she got before was not positive. She was in class when four people walked up to her. Another girl joined them from her class.
"Follow us."
One of them said and they all turned around. She followed them and Page walked closely by.
They arrived at a field the size of two tennis courts.
"We are the representative of the classes since you have been declared queen. We wanted to introduce ourselves."
One of them said then the others started to introduce themselves one at a time.
"I'm Ken, class rep of Magic."
"I'm Ronin, class rep of Combat"
"Dean Highlander, Admin. I mean class rep of Admin."
"Jill rep of Battle Magic."
"And I am Zara, rep of your class."
"As Queen", Jill said putting up air quotes. "You represent the classes."
Lilac looked at her with widely opened eyes, and then she asked.
"What does the representative of the class do?"
"You do what is in the best interest of the classes taking each class into account."
"That sounds stressful."
"It can be but we are here to help you through it. Meet us here after school and we will register at the students council."
Lilac agreed and they went their separate ways. Later that day they met after school. She was accompanied to a building. They entered a room to see a young man sitting at the head of a huge table.
"Our new representative."
"You all didn't need to come. Okay."
The young man said and they turned around.
"Wait, is that it?"
"What do you mean?"
"Don't I need to do something?"
Lilac was about to say something else but was dragged away before she could speak.
"Queen is not an official title and the student's council does not like royalty."
"I don't understand."
"Just be careful, you just made enemies."
Zara said and walked away. Lilac brushed it off and walked towards the exit. There Page was being hounded by a crowd. They dispersed when they saw Lilac.
"What was all that about?"
"Nothing they just wanted to know about you."
On their way home they talked about all that had changed in school. When they got home they saw someone praying in the temple.
"Ase!"
They both said immediately realizing it wasn't their grandmother. Lilac hid when she saw it was a worshipper.
"Avower!"
The worshipper called as Page was about to walk away.
"I need your help to stop the end of the world. I have witnessed the end of four worlds, help me stop the end of this one."
The worshipper said as she walked towards them. Lilac twirled her index finger at her temple and sneaked out of there. Page rolled her eyes and turned around.
"Go to alter and talk to the Avower, ask her for guidance on how to save the world."
Page said as she guided her back to the alter.
"I am sorry but this will take more than just prayers. I'll need her hands to twat their plans."
"I will let her know and try to set a meeting."
"I thought we were done with the crazies. I expected more trivial requests after the viral video. You know, like cheating husbands and events."
The next day on their way to school, they noticed they were being followed.
"Zara warned me about enemies but I didn't think it would be this soon."
They hid and ambushed their stalker. They grabbed her and slammed her into a wall. When they turned her around they noticed it was the same worshipper at the temple.
"It's the end time crier."
"I know it is difficult to believe someone you just met but keep an open mind. I have lived in worlds similar to this one, in some of those worlds individuals or groups end up destroying the world."
"Can we do this another time?"
Lilac said but as she was about to leave the worshipper grabbed her by the arm. She gasped then Page separated them.
"I saw it, how is that possible? I remember the smell of burnt flesh like I was there. Meet me at the temple same time as yesterday.."
