After spending the weekend with Roman on the yatch Megan was back to school and working part time. She didn't want to be away from him and everytime he wasn't around she often felt worried about him. She adored him and he treated her like a literal goddess.
Roman wasn't with her and she couldn't help but feel her worry and anxiety growing every moment she couldn't physically be by his side. She knew he would always have a tendency to get himself into dangerous situations and he's always had this urge to solve all problems with violence. He had told her he had been like this ever since he was young and it was something he refused to ever change. She couldn't help but feel worried about his life and what he might do when she was away from him.
Megan understood that this was his lifestyle but she couldn't help but worry about him.
Lola hands her coffee and sits beside her on the couch. They were supposed to have a girls night but Natty was late.
Megan nodded her head as Lola sat beside her. She was glad to have some company during this girl's evening since she had been worried about Roman being away for work. She was feeling quite anxious over him and she was hoping that he would call her soon. She smiles softly at Lola as she takes a sip from the coffee with a sigh.
"She's running late is she?"
Megan nods answering Lola's question, "Natty and time management don't mix."
Megan sighs as she continues to sip her coffee. She had a feeling that Natalie would be running late as she can never be on time. Lola laughs along with her at her comment. Lola looks at her with a smirk as she jokes back and she sips her own coffee. "Typical Natalie, right?"
Megan nods chuckling, "The bitch never makes it on time to anything."
Lola laughs loudly at her comment. As Megan would expect, she would never pass up an opportunity to get a dig in on Natalie's habits. She chuckles a little before she places her coffee down on the side table.
"Hopefully she isn't going to take all day. God, we might have to send out a search party for her."
"Yeah well that's just her....Anyways How have you been these days, I realized I haven't been checking up on my girls as I should." Megan said feeling guilty for getting so caught up in her relationship with Roman she neglected her friends abit.
Lola notices her expression of guilt and she laughs softly as she waves her hand around. "Oh, there's no need for that. I know you still love me as much as I love you. Your life just took a little bit of a detour ever since you met Roman. Honestly, who can blame you for that. The man is charismatic, charming, and absolutely attractive. He's a complete package that makes it very understandable why you have been focused on him so much."
Megan smiles, "It's still not excuse to not check on you guys."
"It's fine...seriously, don't worry about it. You're happy right? I'm honestly glad that you are happy now as you've been through so much in your life.
We all have but sometimes love can make us forget about those troubles." Lola chuckles softly as she pats her shoulder and she smiles at her. She felt so proud of her and she wanted her to be happy no matter what.
"I am so fucking lucky to have a girls like you as my bestie." Megan hugs Lola with a huge smile on her face.
That made Lola laugh and she hugged her back with a smile on her face. "That's because you're awesome dear so you deserve the best. I'm glad I get to be that person for you. I will always be here for you and I will always have your back. You'll never be alone, ever."
The door opens revealing an exhausted Natty. Megan turns to her, "Look what the cat dragged in."
Lola snickered softly and she raised an eyebrow with a smirk. "Hey, that's a new one but pretty accurate." Lola chuckles as she glances at Natalie who was looking like she was just running on fumes at the current moment.
"Girl what happened to you?"
Natalie just shakes her head and she shrugs her shoulders. She slouches as she slides down the sofa slowly and she lets out a long sigh. Her eyes were so exhausted in that current moment. "Just a few issues I had to deal with this morning...nothing too bad."
"Okay but you look like you need a drink and I'm not talking about Coffee." Megan said as she made her way to the kitchen to grab a bottle of wine.
Natalie snickered softly and she shakes her head a little. "You're not wrong. I probably need to drown my sorrows at the moment to try and ease some of this exhaustion and stress out of my system. A bottle of wine sounds good to me after this week."
As Megan enters the kitchen her phone rings. She practically sprints back to the livingroom to grab her phone, she hoped it was either her brother or Roman.
"Hi!" She says answering also rolling her eyes as her friends made fun of her.
Natalie snickered softly as she noticed Megan's reaction. She could see how eager she was to talk to whoever was on the other end of the line. Once she was out of the room, Lola couldn't help but make a small joke to Natalie about Megan's situation. "She really loves him doesn't she?"
"There's a He? Like a boyfriend situation?!" Natty asked stunned.
Lola laughs loudly and her eyes twinkle as she speaks. "It's the new guy she decided to settle down with. You haven't met him yet but let me tell you, he's hot and rich."
"Bitch you saw him? Where the hell was I?" Natty pouts.
Lola laughs even louder as she covers her mouth with her hand. Natalie had the biggest habit of being late to everything but this one time could have probably landed her with a potential hot guy. "You were doing your usual running around late of course. I swear you have a knack for being late to everything important and showing up to everything that's not important."
Lola laughs out loud as she continues to poke at her. "The usual excuse. Let me guess: you decided that getting a few extra minutes of sleep was more important than actually showing up on time."
"So what? Sleep is important!"
Lola laughs and she nods her head. "Yes, it is important. I'm just saying there are some times where you should probably prioritize other things like meeting a hot and rich guy. I don't know about you but that is more important than sleep in my opinion."
