"Do you recognize any of these?" Jay asked.
John looked at him questioningly. "Why are you asking me?"
"Because I thought you might be interested in knowing where these came from."
"Where did you get all these?"
Jay grinned. "My father worked at a chemical research lab. We got some samples from his office. I figured it was only fair since he took most of the credit when I made my discovery."
"Your father worked at a chemical research lab?"
"Yes. He died some time ago, though. No one ever knew exactly what killed him."
John stared at Jay. "You're telling me you stole these from his office after he passed away?"
