The area was very hot as they walked through the street. They were heading towards the edge of the street and had been walking for several hours now.
They didn't talk much. Neither wanted to waste energy talking when they had so much ground to cover. In fact, both were content to walk silently and listen to the sounds around them.
Both were wearing heavy leather armor. The armor wasn't mainly intended for protection or comfort, but rather for durability.
As they walked along, they occasionally saw children playing in the streets. Most of the children wore clothes. Some were barefoot. The children played in groups. Sometimes they were laughing. Other times they were crying. Occasionally, an adult tried to shoo away some of the children who were bothering her. She was usually ignored by the others and continued her efforts.
