In the past, Lux had fought some classmates of his, many of whom were much larger and stronger than he was. But no one had ever tested him quite like this.
It was clear that the girl was better than him. Far, far better. But Lux couldn't help but wonder if there was more to her story than she'd told. Perhaps she was playing mind games with him, testing him somehow.
Maybe she was a genius.
Lux narrowed his eyes. Her moves seemed so simple, almost childlike. And yet, they were effective. Could he really win this fight? Wasn't there a way?
Suddenly, he remembered the girl from before. The one who'd spoken of killing him.Who were those people?
