"Against...the Darkness?" Lux echoed.
"Yes. You see, there is always evil, and no matter what we try, we cannot fight it off completely. So we keep trying. One day, someone might come along who could defeat the darkness."
"And what if I'm the one?" Lux asked.
"If you are, then we shall welcome you with open arms."
"And if I'm not?"
"Then I'll kill you myself. Do not forget, however, that you still owe me for what I've done for you thus far. Remember that. It is an important lesson, and you will forget everything I have just said—who I am, your powers, and how you got them."
With that, Hunter vanished into thin air.
Lux sat alone again, wondering what he was supposed to do next.
