"What about this?" Lux pointed to the webpage.
"Do you see anything strange about this picture?" Hunter asked.
"Nothing. Just a bunch of lines and circles."
Hunter took out his own notebook. On the top of the page, he wrote a series of numbers. "All you need to remember is that the number is a measurement of something."
He handed the book and pencil to Lux. "You're going to draw the image on your notebook. Now, try to ignore everything except what I show you. Don't think about how it looks. Concentrate solely on the shape and line of each circle."
Lux frowned. "What does any of this have to do with earthquakes?"
"Everything," Hunter said. "Just pay attention to what I tell you. Once you finish drawing this, I'll explain."
"Fine." Lux grumbled. He began to sketch the image on the page. He drew the circles one after another. He focused on nothing else except the lines and shapes he had drawn.
