Othei picked up Jason's body and carried it back through the door to his laboratory. After cleaning off the blood, he put Jason in an empty chamber and set a timer to keep track of time. After twenty-four hours had passed, Othei went to check on the test subject.
He had lost much of his strength, and what remained showed no signs of brain activity.

After spending days sleeping, Jason woke up feeling refreshed, though still weak. He walked slowly to the end of the chamber and looked outside through the window. He could see the sun shining brightly against the white snow. It reminded him of the time he spent learning about Antarctica while working at the base camp.
Othei stumbled across the hallway and opened the door leading to the kitchen. A young woman sat at the table, reading a magazine. She wore a pink dress with matching heels and earrings. Her long black hair flowed down her shoulders.
