"Not quite," Scott said. "This time when I touch you, you shouldn't move. It's kind of like a shield."
Mark grinned. "Good idea. I'd love to learn this."
Scott took off, running toward Mark, throwing punches. They bounced harmlessly off his body, though he did notice that each punch caused a small flash of light to appear where his hand had touched him.
"Hey, look at my hand!" Scott exclaimed. "See? No light."
"That's awesome," Mark said. "Let's try another one."
Both boys began fighting. Each punch sent out a powerful energy wave, knocking their opponents backward.
Finally, they were exhausted, but grinning ear-to-ear.
"So... how do you feel?" Mark asked.
"Like a million bucks," Scott replied. "Now I know why you guys do this. It feels so good to use these powers."
"It does," Mark agreed.
"But now I have to ask..." Scott added. "Why don't we use our powers more often?"
