Lux went forward slowly. He could see their faces better now. It was Mia.
Long before now, she had seen the news of Jay being wanted for framing Detective Lux. She knew they were enemies. The only way to convince Jay to remove this choker from her was to kill Lux.
"I'll kill you!" As the gauntlets formed on her hands, she charged forward.
Lux ducked out of the way, barely avoiding the attack. He grabbed her arm and yanked it backward, causing her to stumble. Lux kicked her leg out from under her. She fell hard to the ground.
What kind of cringe-worthy statement was that?
Mia got to her feet quickly and attacked again. The two began exchanging a series of calculated strikes and dodges.
After a minute or two, Lux managed to knock Mia down to the floor. Her head hit the concrete, making a loud crack. She had used the suit to minimize the damage dealt to her head.
Lux stepped up beside her.
"You're dead!" she screamed.
