Several sirens pulled up to the front of the house.
A man stood outside, holding a gun. Along with Chief Earl, two uniformed policemen approached him. They saw the dead body of Miles, and Lux passed out on the floor beside him.
One of the men took a picture of the dead man, while the other went to see what was happening upstairs.
Chief Earl hadn't heard from Lux after he left, so he said he might check here just in case.
The body of Miles appeared to be severely electrocuted by an unknown source, but Lux appeared to be safe. There was also a second gun, which wasn't like the one given to those at the station. He surmised that the man had likely drawn a gun on Lux. Thankfully, there were no gun wounds on him.
Lux woke up some time later. He looked around, bleary-eyed.
Earl spoke softly, "Are you feeling alright?"
