James smiled. "Yes. My father taught me most of this stuff when I was younger." He added.
The detective continued. "So you're saying this beam affected the mitochondria in the patients' cells? Perhaps it was a mutation that made them more efficient. That would explain why they feel so much better."
"Not only that, maybe it changed their bodies entirely from the inside. You saw the blue monster months ago. What if this case is linked?"
Another detective laughed. "Do you mean the monster that killed people for months?"
James shook his head sarcastically. "No. Not that one. The one that made friends with everyone."
