Lux let out a tired sigh as Chloe practically dragged him toward the kitchen. He wasn't in the mood to eat, but he knew better than to argue with her when she got like this.
"You act like I'm starving myself," Lux muttered, watching as Chloe rummaged through the cabinets.
"You practically are," she shot back. "Skipping meals, barely sleeping… You think I don't notice?"
Lux leaned against the counter, arms crossed. "We've got bigger problems than my appetite."
Chloe turned around, holding a plate and raising an eyebrow. "And you won't solve any of them if you collapse from exhaustion."
He knew she was right, but that didn't mean he had to like it. Begrudgingly, he took the plate from her hands and sat down at the table. Chloe joined him, keeping a watchful eye as he started eating.
"See? Not so hard," she said with a smirk.
Lux rolled his eyes but didn't argue. If this was what it took to keep her off his back, he'd play along—for now.
