Chapter 103 - Chapter 102: A Moment's Pause

The Bathroom, Kennison Estate, Latimer Ave, Baltiney, New York...

Hot steam filled the rather elegant guest bathroom as a lone Dean Hudson found himself once more alone in the vast estate that belonged to his multibillionaire lover Ken Ryker, He had not noticed any servants and so forth about the place despite it being much smaller than the one where Ken's parents had lived. He supposed it was a very Ken thing to do given his temperament and erratic tendencies. Dean continued to slowly wash his bare body, finding himself much more comfortable in the surroundings that belonged to Ken than he had ever been when he'd stayed in Kansas.

His final moments in that trailer park had been something of a blur once the strange men had jumped him in the shower, a far contrast from what he'd felt now as he continued to lather up his bare skin and bask in the warmth of the running showerhead that towered above him. His messy blond locks soaked easily in the process.

Ken had been gone for quite a while, and already Dean had missed him and the weight of his larger body pressing him into the mattress that had become his bed since venturing from their roadside motel to this place. The lad had been head over heels in love for the very first time in his life and he couldn't say or do a thing about it. Ken made it clear that they had been more or less friends with benefits but Dean couldn't seem to help himself. The more time he'd spent with Ken and seeing the man he used to be in those numerous home movies he'd found, he could finally understand why he'd been so loved despite his aversion to it.

The lad had not minded the change in Ken he had preferred it, but knowing how wonderful he truly was had made his current association with Ken all the more endearing. It was truly heartbreaking what happened to him, to lose his wife and three children at the same time on a plane with faulty work done to it. He had known all too well that Ken blamed himself, or he would if he had recalled the events properly. For the most part, he'd always insisted he didn't remember them or anything that happened before his unfortunate accident.

Sadly, Dean had also concluded that Ken's accident was done on purpose just as Malcolm had surmised but no one else had dared to think of it let alone say it out loud lest it give Ken ideas to attempt to finish what he started. Dean sighed as he began to scrub away the lathered soap by way of his washcloth and continued to enjoy the warmth and comfort of his long shower.

It was interesting, to say the least getting a glimpse of the man who had been on those videos and in past discussions when it came to Ken's friends and family, but it was something else to see the shocking changes whenever Dean had recalled what he had even known about Ken that had nothing to do with them rolling about in one or more beds.

In truth, he had not known much about Ken Ryker or Ryker Kennison aside from a few casual conversations and what his family had mentioned about him at the dinner. Their association had been purely based on sex after all and Ken had preferred it that way. Still, Dean couldn't help but feel something for the handsome troubled man who had rescued him from the depths of depravity to whisk him away to his own home.

Although the younger lad had not much liked the strangeness surrounding Ken's apparent mental condition, he had been still all the more grateful to him for taking him in and having any sort of interest in him at all beyond what they did between the sheets. Most men would have turned their backs on him by now, but not Ken, he seemed to be quite fond of him despite his demeanor at times.

Dean took the liberty of rinsing himself off making sure that he'd been clean from head to toe as he fully expected Ken to bust through the front door and aim to drag him into bed again, if he had not already been in it by the time the older man got home that was. The lad had suspected Ken would be a bit late in his return given his knowledge about Valencia and his lover's inability to part from the woman carrying his child who would soon become his new wife, if only for said child's sake.

Admittedly, Dean had not been too fond of Valencia Ramos, and their first meeting had left a lot to be desired but there was no telling Ken what to do when he'd been of the mind to do it, she knew it and Dean had figured it out of his own accord. He had of course made it clear that he wouldn't be going anywhere any time soon though if only to get his point across.

The lad took his time before he'd finished up in the shower before filing out dripping along the bathroom floor before shuffling himself into his designated bedroom his mind still on his absent lover as he sighed and attempted to make himself more comfortable after drying off. He debated whether or not to bother getting dressed knowing all too well that when Ken had returned he'd much prefer him with his clothes off.

A sly smile filed across Dean's pale face as he thought of his horndog's reaction to finding him all ready for him. He climbed into bed making a mental note to get as much rest as possible before Ken arrived and there was no telling when he'd ever get the chance depending on what mood the older man had been in. As the lad closed his blue eyes resting against the softness of the pillows and comforter of his new bed, he had been all the more grateful to Ken and the fact that he'd no longer had to awaken back at the trailer park in Kansas.
