Chapter 54 - Chapter 54. The time is approaching

Luneth's point of view

As I imagined Mr. Hel came, the message from the goddess came while I had my daily prayers, according to her I had to bring it, but the visions of the future that accompanied her message were about the terrible requests, the why of these, the outcome that is expected, and the future that will surely end up being formed, it is scary, if the path twists a little, then it will be a goodbye, one which we cannot reverse, we are simply one decision away....

Many times I have the feeling that this ability is more of a curse, but one that I will never rescind if I can carry out Gwen's wishes.

With a light greeting I invited the immortal to the temple, he seemed to look inside the building and as quickly as he took a few steps he was sent to the realm of my goddess.

This was not taken well by his two companions, the male lifted me up grabbing me by the clothes around my neck, while she just stared at me.

I'm not sure, with those masks I can't see her eyes, but I would bet that her gaze is imprinted on me.

After a while I could notice a slight change in them, they seemed more imposing than a few seconds ago, even an air of magnificence began to exude from their bodies, it was strange, almost imperceptible, but at the same time, very noticeable.

One could notice it, the body seemed to understand by itself that I should bow when I see it, just like when I see my adored goddess.

After a few sighs, the immortal returns and forces the being that grabbed me to leave me on the ground.

It has really saved me, the murderous aura of this being was beginning to overflow, if it were not for the fact that I know, that when I die, I would come back to life, then I would already be in tears and begging.

This loss of the sense of survival is also a curse, life is so beautiful because of its frugality and now... to live it forever.

While I was lost in my thoughts, a soldier arrived, tired, exhausted, sweat was running down his face and his body was trembling, with a strong and unsteady voice, which carried his last strength, he said what he feared.

-Lord Hel, Miss Luneth, you are urgently needed in the castle, we already know when the battle will begin - As soon as he said it, he collapsed, one of my priestesses ran to his aid and carried him into the temple, there the poor young man could recover.

Without time, I started to run towards the castle. When one arm held my back and another one my legs, the terrifying immortal was carrying me in the same way that Gwen explained in her stories, due to the contact, both his smell and his heat began to flood my body, my ears began to redden and my breath became agitated, my heart... he just pounded in my chest like a madman.

The worst was when I realized he was looking at me, I really just wanted to stay in a hole, but I ended up lying on his chest, for a moment, as the streets flew around me, Hel didn't seem so scary.

 Hel's point of view

As I walked through the streets I could notice Lunteh leaning against my chest, her scent and warmth, that reddish hue in her ears, really captivating, even my heart seemed to race a little, but then, a slight bloodlust came from behind, it didn't take looking to realize it was Irina, her bloodlust was especially cold and dark, terrifying.

Even so, my heart was still unsteady.

In less than a few minutes we were in front of the castle, there was Gwen waiting for us along with the generals and some economic ministers.

For some reason she was smiling and the others present had a strange expression.

I did not realize the situation until Irina touched my shoulder and said - Sir, we have arrived, it is no longer necessary to carry her - Only then I realized that I had not let go of Luneth. As I looked at her she was still lying down, but somehow she noticed that my eyesight went down, turning even redder if that was possible.

I was always a bit thick on matters of the heart, but I never was, nor do I think I've ever become like those manga and novel protagonists, who were not thick, but complete morons.

Seeing the possibility of misunderstanding our situation, I put Luneth down, when her feet touched the ground she lost her balance, but before she fell I grabbed her by the waist.

She was already a tomato which quickly came out of my arm and ran into the castle, of course the little empress did not take long to laugh at her friend.

Silly girl, don't run away, you know I can let you attend this last meeting before the battle in her lap, it would surely be a great motivator - She didn't seem with the intention to curb her teasing even in a situation as complex as this, although I admit I also have a certain blush.

 Luneth's point of view

Little by little the warmth of the immortal began to cradle me, being so close to him was not so terrifying in the end, it was very strange, it gave the feeling that nothing bad could ever happen to me, such a placid feeling little by little, my head lay on his chest and I lost track of time.

And although I don't know why, I just wanted this moment to last forever, the rhythm of his heart was like the calm moon compared to my stormy one, although at some point it seemed out of step he quickly restrained himself, as if he didn't want to wake me up from this reverie.

But like everything, it has an end, a few minutes later I could see the castle and Gwen looking at me with a mischievous smile, I already knew what she had in mind... And that only made the blood flow quickly to my head, almost suffocating me from the heat, but I could not move away, it was as if I was in the protective embrace of a father, but then that annoying immortal had to speak, when doing so he slightly lowered his head, very imperceptible but being close it was easy to realize, he was looking at me, please, no, don't do it.

But against my wishes he lowered me to the ground, I don't know why but I couldn't notice my legs well and the moment they had my weight on them they gave way.

I couldn't believe it, I was going to fall but a quick arm grabbed me by my waist and took me to his body, I didn't need to look to know who it was, my whole body had his scent, the shame got the better of me and the next moment I ran inside the castle, I couldn't look at him again.

Of course, this cruel friend was embarrassing me even more while I was running inside.

 Gwen you idiot...!
