It was a dark and stormy night .The wind howled through the trees as Detective John Smith made his way to the old mansion on the hill . He had been called in to investigate a murder that had taken place there earlier in the evening .
As he approached the mansion, he noticed that the front door was slightly ajar. He drew his gun and cautiously pushed it open, stepping inside.
The mansion was dark and silent, except for the sound of rain tapping against the windows. John made his way through the foyer and into the living room, where he found the body of a young woman lying on the floor.
She had been stabbed multiple times, and there was a note lying next to her that read ,
" You're next. "
John knew that he had to act as fast. He called for backup and began to search the mansion for any clues that could lead him to the killer.
As he searched, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. He turned around, but now was there.
Suddenly, he heard a noise coming from the upstairs, he drew his gun and slowly made his way up the stairs.
When he reached the top of the stairs, he saw a figure standing at the end of the hallway, he called out but the figure didn't respond.
John cautiously approached the figure, but as he got closer, he realized that it was just a mannequin.
He breathed a sigh of relief and continued his search, but as he turned to leave he heard a noise coming from one of the bedrooms.
He drew his gun and cautiously approached the bedroom. When he opened the door, he saw a shadowy figure standing in the corner.
He called out but the figure didn't respond, but as he got closer, he realized that it was just a coat hanging on a hook.
John was starting to feel like he was loosing his mind. He decided to take a break and set down in the living room.
