The two inseparable friends continued their lively conversation, bursting into laughter as they reminisced about old memories. And so, two days passed. Eden easily handled the few monsters lurking near the rampart on his own. While waiting for Luxia to wake up, he spent most of his time with Brien.
"I thought you were going to leave her?" Eden asked, meticulously cleaning his blade.
"Yeah, we broke up, and I distanced myself from her for months. But in the third year, she confessed she genuinely loved me," Brien explained.
"Oh really!?" Eden raised an eyebrow. "Seems like you've forgotten she cheated on you with Daemon."
Brien chuckled awkwardly, unable to tell his friend that the first time, Katlyn had suggested they become a couple to make Daemon jealous. After Katlyn slept with Daemon, he blamed himself for thinking the relationship was becoming serious. Eden knew about this affair; he would have beaten him to a pulp.
