Waiting for the new moon, Eden learned spear handling, footwork, martial arts techniques, and since Itotia was obsessed with archery, Eden, who had learned from the best, taught her aiming methods. In return, Itotia learned about Eden's culture, different types of food and exotic fruits, and especially music and dance steps. In three weeks, Eden had already become a true Amarien, while Itotia flawlessly replicated what she had learned. They occasionally engaged in training fights, which Eden obviously won, though with great difficulty.
