Avanti, Aryavarta Continent.
Three years later, somewhere in the wild.
'!!Huff Huff!!'
Across a mellow field brimming with life and energy, a young boy ran wheezingly. His small crystalline jade legs were trembling like dried leaves in a cold winter, together with his frail body that was about to break down from fatigue any second now. Yet, his face, despite being pale, glowed in the sunlight like crystal. The most surprising part about him was neither his trembling body nor the glowing picturesque face that could put even an utterly charming woman to shame, but the two glowing eyes full of determination that shone more brightly than his jade skin.
Atulya was born an orphan. He never had the chance to meet any of his kin, and for a span of fourteen years, no one approached him to disclose details about his origins. Surprisingly, he was never bothered by this fact, showing little curiosity about his roots. It was not because he harbored resentment towards his parents for abandoning him, he simply accepted it as a fact of its life.
Despite not being fully matured, Atulya possessed a keen perception, seeing things more thoroughly and beyond, like a worldly sage. Even though he felt certain sorrow toward his parents for abandoning him at birth, he did not harbor hatred, understanding that there must have been a reason for their actions. Yet, despite his mature outlook, there were moments as a child when he wanted nothing more but to cuss them.
"Should I end it for today?" gasping a low murmur rang out of Atulya mouth as he continued running in low paces. His body wavered at the slight push of the cold wind, whist every fiber of his muscles inside was screaming in agony from the constant accumulation of a four hours straight pace.
For his fellow peers and even juniors this type of exercise was nothing but the cream of a cup, a slight warmup if you presume, of course his past self was more than capable to accomplish this much as well but many things more though the current him was already on verge of dying by just this much.
Having adhered to the same exercise routine for two consecutive years, Atulya's would expect a significant impact, even on someone with minimal vitality. Surprisingly, however, there has been no noticeable increase in his muscle mass during this two-year period. It seems as if his body is predisposed to remain small and fragile, defying the anticipated results of a consistent workout regimen.
With a resounding thud, he reached the point of exhaustion. Knelling on the ground, he slowly descended onto the shimmering grass, surrendering to complete relaxation. His entire body was soaked in sweat, a testament to the relentless exercise it had endured. Indignant but to not cause harm to himself, he could only rest and slowly replenish the energy he had expended.
'I again dreamt of the events of the past yesterday is this some kind of sign? I usually do not dream but for the past few days the dream has been frequent all of them being the life I once desired. thinking about it should not the next awakening ceremony be approaching anytime soon.'
'Guess it times to leave this abode and have a final go at it.'
He thought, As the cold wind swept past his body, the sweat slowly started to shimmer down from him. His eyelids, which were shinning with determination just a while ago, began to twitch due to immense fatigue and constant exhaustion of energy.
The sound of water crashing on stones flowed like a natural symphony, rang out as music to Atulya earlobe. Like a lullaby engulfing and dragging him to a new realm. After a while, despite trying his best to resist his natural bodily processes, Atulya was unable to hold back any longer. Small murmur filled with helplessness and anger rang out of his mouth, and he gradually fell into the darkness…
"Is this really my fate." Was what he said before falling asleep.
Although falling asleep amid the jungle where wild animals run amok was nothing short but a fool's act of forfeiting one's life, one could even argue that his decision to dare such an act was nothing more than plain suicide. However, being a person of extreme foresight, how could Atulya be unaware of the potential danger?
Above all, he was not even capable of outrunning even an ordinary wild animal in terms of speed least face it head on. While he might consider himself somewhat above average comparing to an ordinary adult, he was nowhere strong enough like his past self.
The current him possess a sickly and frail body comparable of an ordinary mortal thus despite having somewhat good stamina his speed was still that of a mortal child, taking all these factors into consideration as well as the possible life threating variables of the wilds he needed a place void of wildlings as well as something full of natural vegetation and available with a fresh source of water to carry out his daily needs. Afterall, the current him was nothing more than a sitting duck in the wild.
Surprisingly though his current whereabouts possess everything he could ever ask for, it resembled a hidden valley surrounded by tall mountain like a hollow cave opening, the entrance obstructed by an overflowing water fountain standing as an indomitable wall, refusing passage to anyone. Inside the valley was a natural habitat capable enough to house dozens of mortals.
The valley was abundant with natural grown vegetation with a natural stream of ever flowing fresh water it was nothing more than pure paradise for him. On the very top was an opening to the valley from where the warm sunlight pass and light the whole of the valley.
Atulya's discovery of this location seemed more a stroke of luck than a mere coincidence, it could very well be attributed to fate.
!!Fate!!
Fate was something he loathed the most.
Not long after snoring sound rang out through the valley, Atulya face which was once pale from the exercise gradually regains its natural color become more handsome than before, his breathing also returned to being normal somewhile after.
"sigh~ so this boy had again exhausted himself to the end, huh." Out of nowhere an aged voice rang out from the end of the valley, from the sound of it, it seems the aged voice was quite familiar with Atulya training and has seen him in his current state for as many times now, as the only source of light was the slight opening atop, the corner of the valley was always shimmered in darkness so it was impossible to perceive anything of what or to whom the source of voice belongs.
Though the origin of the voices did not remain as a mystery for long as soon after the voice died down, a purplish smoke rose from the very far end of the valley as if it had manifested itself from nothingness.
The purplish smoke was starkly visible even in the darkness the shape of it was quite random and unusual making it hard to describe unlike the aura, it emitted an eerie, sinister and forbidden energy from it, the air itself trembled in its presence.
It slowly made it way to the resting area of Atulya's body only stopping once it reached it proximity of him, then strangely enough it kept revolving around the body as if it was checking out something but even if this process it kept a safe distance and did not touch Atulya in the least.
After a minute or so the purplish smoke came to a halt and stood beside the head side of Atulya as if waiting for something, the actions of the purplish smoke were rather strange but for unknown reason it remained cautious of Atulya presence as if it was trying not to disturb him in the slightest.
But the very next second it did the complete opposite, the purplish smoke dived down toward Atulya's forehead as if it was trying to enter his body. It trembles slightly in excitement as if it had found something precious though the excitement did not last long as one the very second when the smoke was about to touch him, Atulya opened his eyes then there was silence.
A strange scene unfolded itself, Atulya stared at the purplish smoke in front of him and for more than a minute the two presences were in staring lockdown, the purplish smoke itself was deadbeat its excitement long forsaken and even the energy it radiated earlier died down to the lowest level but most striking was Atulya's behavior as he was neither surprised nor startled from the unknown and eerie presence in front of him.
Now you all should be confused as to how did I get myself into my current predicament, and why was there a blog of bluish ghost light floating above me, well it's all attributed to very day my misfortune began.
The day of awakening…
