Chapter 14 - ...

"Hers is the same case that made me trust The League with their intentions about the girls," he continued about Nelly.

I always thought of him as part of The League.

"Aren't you The League?"

"No. The League uses our services. I have a contract with them. I have a company with the CIPC, the Companies, and Intellectual Property Commission. We are registered with Psira as a security company called Ingonyama Protection Services. We offer VIP protection, armed response, and home and business guards. We are listed in the Central Supplier Database and that is how The League hired us, they found us there. They were only known by that name to us: The League. A company based in the US, Washington DC with bases in the Vatican City and The City of London. These are very powerful people who you do not turn down so I almost had no choice. I signed everything and did as they told me. Their approach intimidated although they didn't direct any threats. Although it promised to pay me well I didn't like this contract for moral reasons. It turned me into a millionaire overnight when I was just taking my chances in starting a security company with no experience. Soon it paid off and my worries were put to rest by the case of Nelly, the afro girl. It cleared my conscience. Before that, all the girls I'd been sending to the island brought me nothing but sleepless nights. I imagined them being drugged and sold as prostitutes to some hard-core gangsters of unknown origins. Just the thought of being part of that broke me apart and spilled my soul into the graves of the dead. I felt like an animal. How could I even enjoy such money? It meant nothing," he said.

"Wow, I'm surprised because this is exactly how I felt when I looked at you. I thought you were one of these hard-core gangsters of no particular origin... Why do these people keep this a secret? Have you ever gone on board the boat and maybe went on to the other side, did you see the island?" I asked.

"No. That is still my concern, but we are working on that... There is a plan in place. We've sent a spy with the last trip to the Queen's Island. The guy you are replacing as a guard. His mission is to go to the island, take some photos, and plant some spy cams without being detected. We want to know that at least the island exists. He is also carrying some weapons for his protection. Other things you gonna hear from the class tonight. Here is your notepad."

The guy revealed so much already, it scared me. Why did he choose to divulge to me? I asked myself some unanswered questions for he had left me to prepare for his class. Everyone waited with their notepads while he set up the projector at the front. His technicians were with him.

"Testing, testing, mike check, one, and two, are you there?"

"Yeah,"

"Okay, today our class is on how to appeal to people's eyes. Can anyone tell us why this is important for us?"

"Yes, sir." A hand went up.

"Yes, Mbhunguzi."

"Can I speak while I'm seated, sir?"

"Man, speak."

"Okay. I think it's because when you work in our kind of jobs, you know, like spies. You must have those skills, you know. How to earn people's trust. How to have people like you. Those skills are important. You can't just force girls into the car anymore these days or drug them. They must come with you willingly."

A round of applause followed that comment from Mbunguzi.

"Wow, that is on point, man. That's good. So, getting to it: we should know that people or human beings are naturally attracted or un-attracted to certain behaviors. What doesn't attract them is any complex behavior. If you are a bad communicator, people won't want to speak with you. For example, you don't greet back when people greet you. They will decide not to greet you again. That's what happens with anything else. The human brain doesn't like complex work. If there is a complication there is procrastination. The brain gets captured by only a simple open task. If you are interesting, then capture that by simplifying yourself. The next person will open up to interacting with you. For example, when you send a message to a lady on the social media platforms. They won't respond to unclear messages. Messages like: Hi, hey, hello, when you get this get back to me, I have to speak to you about something. These are generalized messages, and they will need more inquiry from the receiver. Some people also send long messages, wasting people's time. There are high chances that those won't get to be read. But a very simple, concise, and clear message has better chances. The message must be open, and it should require a simple answer. For example: 'Hey Lisa, been looking at your profile and I think you are an amazing person. Could we get to know each other over lunch maybe? If yes, please respond with the time and place. I'll be there.' This girl has heard it all. All she has to do now is to go through your profile check what kind of a person you are and maybe look at your pictures. She will inquire about you. She might also go to ask about you from someone else, which takes us to advocates. You must have advocates to support you. Don't be a loner. Have good people who have good things to say about you. They don't have to know you. You don't have to know them. Just influence them to say good things about you. People must greet you in the street when you walk with her. Kids must know you. Have references. For example: I once went to a loan shark to borrow money. It turned out that his 11-year-old son played for my football team. The boy came running towards me for a hug the moment I entered his home. His father became curious: who is this guy who is loved so much by his little boy? I got the money for no interest. Lastly, be simple. Don't be a difficult person. Even if you know complex subjects, don't bring them up in the first impression unless the girl brings them up first. And please know what they are interested in. It's like going into an interview without knowing about the company you are applying for. It doesn't make sense. If you don't know anything about the company, they won't hire you. To them, you are sending a message of procrastination. They will procrastinate hiring you because they think it will be complex to get you ready to work for them. Are we still together?"

"Yes, sir,"

"We will end it there for today. Now I'll take questions."
