She never really heard much of her mother, she was told that her mum died in an accident sometime.
Her dad seldom spoke about her and neither did the rest of the family so Mira didn't think much about it.
Her mother has left now she's here suffering the curse of being motherless and wealthy.
Mira stopped in her steps and sighed wearily, she keeps forgetting she's supposed to keep and eye on the others. She made a turn and headed back.
Soon the bell for lunch rang and the students gathered round their desks to eat and chat.
Mira sat on the far end on her desk and paid close attention to everyones action and reactions especially Stacy's.
Majority of the class were surrounding Stacy's desk while others stayed as close as they could.
"Yes! And at the auction I was given the honor of handing the priceless jewelry to the winner" Stacy bragged and the rest were exclaiming with surprise and some envy.
"And look at this" Stacy put her hand into her bag, and brought a ring with a ruby in it. She wore it on her finger and began showing the rest.
The red vibrant color of the jewel was sparkling in a similar way to Stacy's eyes.
"My mum made it specially for me" she smiled brightly showcasing her ring and never missing a chance to glance at the weirdo staring at her.
"Wow I wish I had that" one of the girls exclaimed
Stacy smiled at her and gave the most harsh reply "yeah too bad, it's too expensive only people of really high status can afford it"
The girl earlier only bowed her head in shame.
Mira almost crushed her juice box with her tightened fist. Stacy doesn't even care about their feelings, she's rude and arrogant and still they want to be friends with her.
Her lunch was sumptuous compared to the rest (excluding Miras that is).
Later on she pulls out a well packaged bag from her back pack and dropped it on the desk.
Everyone peered and wondered what could be in it, even Mira was interested to find out what Stacy has left up her sleeves.
"Remember when I told you guys about how I asked my daddy to get me my personal garden?, Well there was a harvest last week". She opened the bag and disclosed the different fruits that were in it.
Apples, cherry, grapes and berries all packed inside.
She began sharing. Every child that got one would shower her with praises
"You're the best Stacy"
"Yeah, this is really yum and juicy"
"You're awesome".
Amidst all these praises, Stacy held an apple up and said loudly "hey! little miss Lee if you want some you can just ask in stead of staring from way over there"
Mira was surprised by this and immediately averted her eyes to the window in embarrassment, indeed it was as if she wanted a fruit that's why she stared at them.
There was whispering among other students, they loved Stacy for her generosity and other features but the fact that she's so bold to call out Mira and some times ridicule her was just fascinating. Shes ever so gutsy even calling her the way miss Sharona would.
After all no one would speak to a member of the lee to their face like that.
Stacy sat back down with a satisfied smirk on her face.
"Why'd you do that Stacy" one of the kids whispered
She shrug her shoulders "she was the one who was staring at me, I just guessed that maybe she wants one. That's all"
"Yeah that true" another student supported "Mirabelles just too proud because her daddy is super rich and has a big company "
They whispered more within themselves.
This naturally made Mira insecure but she frowned at it all.
ward 203....
Fay and Lyla walk into a ward with a patients report in hand. There was a woman clinging onto a child who was laying on the hospital bed. Lyla, seeing how cute and how chubby he was, quickly ran to his side to cuddle
"Oh what a cute wittle baby" she said while pouting. Fay stood near the parent, looking cool and all that. She asked
"How old is he?"
"Four" the lady around her late thirties replied, "he's just a kid"
Fay nodded.
"Such a cutie patutie. Can you say aunty Lyla, c'mon say aunty Lyla" she pinched his soft puffy cheeks. The little guy tugged on his mother's sweater, frightened.
"Lyla you'll scare the kid" fay rubbed her temples
Lyla sneered "that evil lady there is fay, don't listen to her" she whispered loud enough for everyone to hear.
"He hasn't had anything to eat you know, can you rush it up I can't take it anymore. My baby, he shouldn't be going through this" the lady lamented.
"Don't worry errrrr....." Fay squinted her eyes to see what was written on the name tag on her uniform. Seems like she rushed in from work.
"Madam peike we've got it covered. Please exit the room for us" fay said politely and the lady left— and stood by the window peering.
Before anesthetics is being administered to a child, they'll have to stay a long while without eating. It's sometimes referred to as fasting.
Because of Lyla's charismatic and enthusiastic character, the child failed to notice that his mom had been sent out already. Exactly why it'll be a shame if Lyla were to fail and get kicked out.
Earlier, the child was taken to the MRI for check-up and it was discovered that there was a tiny out growth in the tissues of his liver, a sign that there could be a cancerous outbreak. Thus, a biopsy would be conducted in order to remove the specimen.
Now then, fay and Lyla would have to give him anaesthetics and prep him for his surgery.
"My favorite super hero is the flash, he goes zoom zoom zoom wherever he wants" Lyla says while swaying her hand up in the air, the little boy- Anderson smiled lively, he was already warming up to Lyla.
