She was grinning from ear to ear. The little girls bright smile was both cute and captivating, her lips were thin, pink and smooth.
Fay was about to smile as a response to the girl but she immediately noticed the large figure that was standing behind her. Her eyes widened in shock of how pumped he was.
His face carried zero emotions and his aura was dangerous and threatening— dressed in a navy blue t-shirt and black jeans with one finger holding a cigarette and the other in his pocket, he looked so cool and bad ass.
She gulped hard, what was about to happen.
The little girl sat innocently beside fay with her hands folded on her uniform
"You remember me right?" She asked
"Ha Of course, you're mirabelle aren't you?" Fay laughed nervously, she could feel beads of sweat forming on her fore head and the weather was cool.
Mira, being a daughter of the Lee's was naturally smart and could read body language. The fay she remembered from yesterday was more cheerful and calm, perhaps it was because of uncle dean standing directly behind them. He was a very dangerous man that she knew because she had seen him wield a gun. He's making miss fay uncomfortable.
Yes, fay's movements and expression were all calculated because of how stiff the atmosphere around them was, she was afraid of making any mistake.
She couldn't count how many times she had gulped.
Mira whispered something to dean, he looked at her with a small smile before walking farther away from them.
Unknowingly, fay let out a sigh of relief
"That's my uncle dean, he protects me" she clarified
Fay nodded her head in realization, figures.
"You didn't tell me your name" she said. She looked at fay with those big eyes of hers, she's extremely cute and beautiful too.
"You my dear can call me miss fay" fay patted her head.
After a little thinking fay asked "you said earlier that you see me hear almost every morning right?" Mira nodded "what are you doing here?"
Mira smiled, then she pointed to a coffee shop that was just opposite the playground next to the hospital
"They sell really good coffee there and my dad enjoys them so he comes here every morning to get coffee for himself and soy milk for me "
"You're dad is really caring then" fay remarked and the girl nodded with a smile.
"Did you have a hard time getting here" fay asked out of the blue.
Mira was in a bit of a daze, why would miss fay ask me that, what does she want to know exactly. She returned the question–
"Why would you ask me that miss fay?" She asked in return.
Fay stared at her messy hair and said with half a smile "your hair, it's a bit rough"
Mira felt a bit embarrassed, for a second there she thought.... She twirled a few strands of her hair with her finger
"Madam Sela was busy with chores so she couldn't style my hair then daddy did it himself". Her little cheeks flushed with embarrassment, it made fay's face lit up with a smile
"Seems like your dad is awesome at loving you but terrible at hair styling" fay giggled.
Mira watched the woman, she had no idea who her dad was and how powerful and influential he was and the silly woman sat there making fun of him. Other women would gladly sell out their souls just to have a sneak peek of him without a shirt.
Mira was no dullard, she wanted to protect her family and their interest just like any normal offspring would. Although she approached fay first she was thrilled to find out what her behavior would be if she were to find out that her father was that man, Mr Lee.
"You should have had ur mum style it instead of your dad" she commented and that brought a sad frown to Mira's face
"I've got no mum" she said in a small whisper.
Fay's heart softened, she stared at the little girl with a thoughtful expression
When Mira saw this expression she pouted "you don't have to feel sorry for me" she said surprising fay.
She hated looks of sympathy.
Fay patted her hair and smiled, Mira's just too cute even when upset.
"Do u mind if I style your hair for you" fay said, she didn't want to but she did anyways; she would understand if Mira declines.
Mira didn't know what led her but she got down from where she was sitting and stood in front of fay with her back facing her. Little Mira didn't know why but she moved instinctively and for some reason her heart believed that miss fay was different from the other women she's met other than madam Sela and grandma.
Other women would come close to her and shower gifts and praise her and act all motherly but in the end their just using her as a visa to better life and high status, after all if one of them becomes Mrs Lee then everyone else would be under her league.
Little Mira was waiting, waiting for the day that miss fay will find out about her dad. Deep down in her heart she prayed for a positive outcome.
Seeing Mira move from her former position to the strangers front dean moved from the wall he rested his back on, threw the cigarette he was with and crushed it with his feet.
His attempt to move towards them was cut short when he saw Mira's smiling face and that the woman was only helping her re-style her hair— even he could tell that his master was bad at hair styling.
Using her slender fingers, fay parted Mira's hair into two, she was making a cute pigtails hair style, it was common for children who attended school.
"Do your friends laugh at you when your dad styles your hair to school?" Fay asked while adding the finishing touches to the now good looking hairstyle.
"I don't have any friends yet" Mira blurted out to her own surprise. She had never been this open to outsiders, only grandma and madam Sela. What's wrong with me!, why did I tell her that.
She panicked...
