The street light not too far from us illuminated the features and writings on the bike. It was a stunning product of Yamaha.
The biker brought one leg down. Despite having much leather on, the biker looked absolutely gorgeous, with long legs and a slender waist with alluring curves.
She took off her helmet and let her black ebonyi hair drop down on her shoulders.
I hear a faint woah from Lyla as she stared with her jaw hanging.
The woman in front of us looked completely emo, with black hair, small vixen like eyes, black eye liner, carved eyebrows, heavy chain necklace and one earring on her left ear; she was simply eye catching.
My heart warms up seeing her look so pretty.
"Done already?" she asked while looking at me. I could feel Lyla's questioning gaze by my side
I nodded. "Ah okay then I'm off to the casino there's work I need to take care of" as she said this, I sigh and frown.
She hung her helmet on the handle of the bike and reached out to face to caress my cheeks "don't be sad hon it's nothing wild just sober Kay?"
Not satisfied though but I nod anyways, she'll say stuffs like this so that I don't worry much about her, I know her too well— that's my girlfriend for you.
"Alrighty then" she pops her head back into the helmet and kicked her engine
"Don't wait up for me babe I'll be back soon" she shouted through the noise made by her bike and I nod.
"Love you!!" I faintly hear as she rode farther away from where I stood.
I turn to face a glaring Lyla
"What's going on? Why did that woman refer to you as babe? Is there something I don't know? What's going on here" she asked
I rub my left arm and looked up at her, "well....that's because she's.... we're dating" I replied.
There was a pause, so eerie that I could hear the wind and my breath too. How did I expect her to react
"How long has that been going on and why didn't you tell me anything about it" she asked in a sad tone
"I didn't think it was necessary" I try to reassure her. It was a lie tho, I didn't tell her or anyone about it cause I wasn't ready to tell the world that I might be gay after all, I mean I can't even believe it myself.
"Of course it was , I'm your friend aren't I? Or.." she questioned
"No Lyla! You are, you're my good friend, great even, I just...." I stuttered
"It's okay, never mind that but do you love her? Sincerely I mean" she asked.
I opened my mouth to say something but I pause
Do I love meg? Yes right?, I mean we've had our moment and tied the knot and confessed to each other and everything so why don't I feel sure about it...
I nod in response and Lyla sighs in relief.
"That's good. Is your sexual orientation bisexual because I swear I've seen you with boys" she asked out of the blue.
Actually, I've dated several times and I got my heart mercilessly broken each time. First in high school was a guy who dated me because of a dare he had been given by his friends and I had a crush on him before so when he came to me, I fell deeply in love. I found out about the dare but chose to neglect and he dumped me publicly.
Second was the beginning of college, the guy I dated insisted that I show him I loved him by sleeping with him but I refused and he left me.
The third, I found out that I was just like a spare tyre to him and his actual girlfriend was on travel.
And many more.. In the end I began to think perhaps the problem was me so....I had a few drinks at a bar and that's where I met meg, things led to things and now we're dating.
I just sigh wearily, I wasn't sure the answer to give her.
"I just hope she isn't playing you" she added. Or maybe I was the one playing her.
We said our goodbyes and I got into a cab and headed to oak street.
Next morning -----
Third person's POV
Beep beep beep beep, the annoying sound of the 5:00 alarm went ringing
Fay peeked through the open bathroom door and stared half surprised by the sound of the alarm. She immediately wondered why she set up the alarm and always ended up waking before it rings. She sighed
A minute later, the alarm stopped ringing and automatically snoozed itself causing the atmosphere to be silent as it once was.
After putting down her toothpaste and toothbrush she came out of the bathroom and shut the door. She looked at the half opened windows; it was still dark out.
She hugged herself as she moved towards her wardrobe to grab clothes, the morning cold was always so extreme, it sent multiple chills down her spine and bare feet.
She stood in front of her mirror and began to access the clothing she picked out. A pair of black jean and an aquarian blue top complemented with short black heels.
Her curly brown hair was tied into a usual bun and as always, light make up–nothing too attention-grabbing.
She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled, she couldn't believe how much she'd grown just this little while.
Back then at a young age she used to be very body conscious and lacked self esteem and confidence but who would have thought that she'll be this good looking and mature.
Her brown eyes, small nose, slightly full lips were her features that gave her insecurities then but now, now she can confidently say they're part of the things that make her hot and decent.
