Arriving at the tavern, Ash first went to the kitchen through the back door but found it empty. He could only enter through the main entrance, hoping to find Alice inside. Instead, he saw Rolph talking... enduring a barely sober Gabriel, who had already drunk three bottles of alcohol and now, out of money, was begging Rolph for a small loan to continue drinking.
Their conversation successfully caught Ash's attention. After seeing Gabriel, Ash thought of something regarding his challenge, he put aside the matter of Alice for the time being and quickly walked toward them.
