"Sigh. Forget it for now. Will you promise not to tell anyone about my secret, please?"
Ash didn't answer immediately, instead, he fell into deep thought, his eyes glued to Beth's nervous face. Unknown to him, a playful grin had formed on his face, causing Beth's heart rate to skyrocket. All kinds of negative thoughts start appearing in her mind, however, before he could throw any unreasonable conditions her way, she didn't dare make a move, fearing that it would only make things more difficult for her.
Finally, after thirty agonizing seconds, with Beth's entire back covered in sweat and her nails digging into her palms, Ash broke the silence.
"Will you kill me if I refuse to keep your secret?" Ash asked jokingly, trying his best to hold back laughter.
