Its been four years since sakura was born and there is only one word sakura would use to define her current life...
BORING.
Of course sakura didn't expect to have a life of nonstop action right away but god it got old really quick, she knew her parents were both failed ninja and retired early on when they couldn't make it past the rank of genin.
Her mother and father were on the same genin team when they were younger, but because of her fathers low aptitude for the ninja arts and her mothers unwillingness to fight let alone kill their team didn't even pass the genin test the team leader gave their team and instead of going back to the Academy to try again they just went to regular school and picked up normal civilian jobs.
But moving on from her parents failures Sakura used her first four years of life to come to terms with her new situation and grieve the fact that she'll never see her old parents or friends again
Babies are believed to constantly cry so that's what she did she cried her eyes out until she eventually came the terms with her situation but even though she was grieving it didn't mean that she wasn't willing to not show her "genius" early on
She started crawling at 6 months and finally showed her parents she could walk when she was one and then waited 6 months later to say her first words, from then on she slowly but surely began to show her intelligence by the time she was for her parents had held her as a genius at least by their standards but Sakura new that in the grand scheme of things her "genius" was not enough especially for the future of this world
She also found out a lot of things that were not shown in the anime that surprised her a bit, like the fact that her grandparents on her father's side were on the civilian Council of the village and had a decent amount of supportersin their camp, while her mother's parents were chunin ranked ninja who died in the previous war.
Sakura was happy when she found out about her grandparents because she knew that if she showed too much promise early on Danzo would be there to scoop her into the root, but with this she now had a layer of protection because not even Danzo wanted to mess with the civilian counsel especially with the support her grandparents had.
So with that Sakura had a safety net and no fear of showing her increased intelligence so now that that was out of the way it was time to unlock her chakra and begin the grind, unfortunately for Sakura unlocking her chakra was not as easy as it sounded or as the fan novels made it to be.
She decided to wait until she was forward to unlock her chakra because that was some of the normal ages for most Clan kids to get their chakra unlocked while the civilian kids still had to wait a little longer until they got to the academy before their tracker was unlocked.
Sakura began to meditate or at least attempt to it wasn't as easy as she thought to clear her mind and feel the energy in her body like the Fanfictions in her previous life said, the first day she tried to meditate she stayed in her room for so long her mother panicked thinking something was wrong with her.
After that incident her mother became a bit more Vigilant with her so her training to unlock her chakra took even longer for her to do, it took her 3 months before she finally began to feel something faint, if what some of the novel said it was true it was supposed to overflow when she fully unlocked it then she was supposed to circulate it in her midsection and then after that spread it throughout her whole body.
It took her a whole two extra weeks before she finally fully unlocked her chakra and began circulating it throughout her body.
' sheesh that took way longer than I expected it to now that this is done I can finally start working on chakra control exercises, these exercises will not only increase my control of my chakra but also help me my chakra Reserves by constantly draining them and allowing them to refill over time'
Sakura decided to tell her parents that she unlocked her chakra, her father was elated and called her a prodigy while her mother was a bit apprehensive because she did not want her daughter to become a ninja she wanted her daughter to settle down and find a nice handsome man to marry and live her life in safety and peace.
"KIZASHI THIS IS NOT SOMTHING TO CELEBRATE, I DO NOT WANT OUR DAUGHTER TO BECOME A NINJA" Mebuki yelled at her husband who was jumping for joy while holding sakura
"Honey Im not a big fan of it either but you know how much my parents want a succesful ninja in our family" he said while putting sakura back on the couch.
"Hmph you need to stand up to them more Kizashi, you keep allowing them to walk all over you and I dont want our daughter to be apart of their political schemes" Mebuki said while turning her head away from him
"It wont be an issue honey we were going to send her to the ninja academy anyway, and who knows maybe this is a sign that she'll make it farther than we did" Kizashi said said with a hopeful look in his eyes
"Thats besides the point I do not want to my daughter to be raised up to become a killer you know how i feel about it, I can understand defending yourself but killing... Its not right" Mebuki said with a slight tremor in her voice
"Well Mebuki their are medical ninjas, seal masters and even the barrier corps, plenty of ninja jobs that don't even involve fighting let alone killing, although the decision is going to be in sakura's hands when the time comes" Kizashi said while both himself and Mebuki looked a sakura with happiness and slight worry.
After that emotional debacle Sakura went outside grabbed a couple leaves and went back to her room to begin her chakra control training.
