Chapter 13 - Need Determination

Ming Ze was no longer visible from the top of the pool because he had already dived too far down. He had passed through many boulders, and so far, the pool still seemed clear so Ming Ze could move around easily.

His speed while diving was above average because he didn't hold back.

Breathing wasn't important to a Half-Immortal, one could live without breathing at all.

Ming Ze's focus remained on diving further.

Only, as he dived further, he began to feel like there were pressures from the water around him.

These pressures varied, one wanting to push him upwards while the other gave a heavy sensation to his body.

'I still don't understand why this swimming pool is called the Pool of Heaven,' he said to Yu'er.

Unfortunately, Yu'er didn't respond, indicating that she didn't know either.

Ming Ze wasn't bothered by those pressures, he was still moving down the pool.

To him, there was nothing more reliable than the pressure.

"Mm..." Not long after, there was something that made him furrow his brow.

The rocks in front of him were too big so the crevices between them were very small. Ming Ze didn't think it would be easy to pass through those small crevices. It was like a hole that only one human could enter by squeezing all the limbs together.

Ming Ze had to admit that it tested his courage because his rational mind hesitated to enter those small crevices.

Ming Ze didn't follow the hesitation of his rational mind. After choosing one crevice that he thought was best, he swam to that crevice before entering it.

Inside the crevice, moving was difficult, but Ming Ze continued to force himself to move downward. Retreating upwards would be more difficult as it meant he would have to move with his feet towards the top.

When Ming Ze thought that this journey would be calm, he suddenly saw a huge snake in front of him.

The snake was as big as a human, and of course, its length was hard to measure, probably over twenty meters. It swam upwards and when it saw Ming Ze, it opened its mouth.

A sight like this was rather terrifying, Ming Ze hadn't expected that there would be a snake in here.

'Master, let me kill this snake.' Yu'er suddenly said.

Ming Ze pointed his sword forward in response.

Whoosh!

The sword slid towards the snake with unimaginable speed, entering its open mouth.

Right after that, countless spiritual slashes emerged from within the snake's body, chopping it into countless pieces of flesh.

Unfortunately the snake wasn't strong, only its large size, its existence was probably nothing more to disturb the diver's mentality.

Shua!

After passing through the snake, Ming Ze finally came out from within the crevice.

He appeared in a larger area with many giant snakes around him.

Below him, he saw an enormous volcano, blocking his path.

The crater was filled with lava, and it seemed to be the only way to continue going down.

'I guess this isn't under the city anymore,' Ming Ze thought as he gazed upwards.

He then looked up at the giant snakes that had begun swimming towards him. They were all looking at him curiously.

"Strange, they're all mortal," Ming Ze said, he could speak in the water as he used his aura to push the water from around him.

'Perhaps they are the original inhabitants of this region,' Yu'er replied.

Ming Ze felt that made sense.

He then slashed his sword once. One slash produced countless slashes. In an instant, all the snakes that approached him died in pieces.

His strength was too far above that mortal snakes were meaningless in his eyes. If it was a snake that had cultivation equivalent to his, it could practically swallow a mortal world.

He focused on the volcanic crater, wondering if there was any danger within.

This seemed like it would be a long journey.

Until now, he still could not guess where the bottom of this pool was.

He slowly descended, approaching the crater.

The heat was felt even from afar. Up close, he felt that it was getting hotter.

This made him frown as he was suddenly made to think that he wouldn't be able to withstand the heat of the lava.

If it was so deep, it was possible that he would be reduced to ashes before he could even pass through the volcano.

'Master, there might be a hidden path,' Yu'er said.

"Hidden path?" Ming Ze held his chin, looking around.

There were many piles of rocks on top of the volcano.

A hidden path might be able to be found beneath them.

It was just that, when thinking about hidden paths, Ming Ze suddenly felt that it wasn't that.

'Yu'er, the Pool of Heaven precipitates strength of heart and determination, not strategy. If it relied on strategy, there would be many people who could reach its bottom after all this time,' Ming Ze said.

He became even more convinced after he said that.

Whoosh!

He flew towards the volcano's crater that was filled with lava. He had no more doubts about entering it.

He would see if he would become ashes or survive.

Taking risks was something he was very used to.

In an instant, he penetrated the red lava where it was very dark underneath.

He saw nothing but the black color of the lava.

The heat quickly made the cells in his entire body tremble. They seemed to be warning him to back off as this was extremely dangerous.

Unfortunately, he still went forward. He was not the type who would choose to retreat even if everyone asked him to.

"Mm!" Suddenly he saw a light portal right in front of him. It seemed to have just appeared now, and was emitting an extremely powerful suction force.

Ming Ze couldn't run away from it. His body entered that portal without him being able to avoid it.

However, when he was inside that light portal, he suddenly felt very comfortable. All the wounds caused by the lava were instantly healed.

A moment later, he appeared in a different place.

"Is this the end?" he said, surprised at what he saw ahead.
