Chapter 3 - Her Name

Ming Ze got off the carriage after the Sun Princess.

He looked at the servant who had previously sat on the coachman's seat.

The woman just stood silently, seemingly devoid of emotion.

Her status as a servant didn't mean her cultivation was low.

In fact, she was also an Immortal Emperor.

Her age was clearly young, her aura of genius visible to anyone who looked at her carefully.

"Come on in, you need to recover now," the Sun Princess said to Ming Ze. She gestured for him to follow her into the palace.

Ming Ze followed behind her, choosing that way because his head was full of various thoughts.

He gazed up and down, left and right as he entered the palace.

Its opulence was enough to amaze him. The walls were completely made of gold, filled with beautiful calligraphy. Ancient jars were neatly arranged near the windows. There were even swords and spears stuck in the floor. They all exuded a terrifying aura.

The sword in Ming Ze's hand that Ming Ze always carried shook violently as its aura came into contact with the aura of the swords and spears in this palace.

The eyes of the Sun Princess and her servant glanced at Ming Ze's sword which was an ordinary-looking sword with a silver color.

It wouldn't appeal to anyone except those who had seen Ming Ze at the competition.

Ming Ze pretended not to notice the two women's gazes, but in truth he was still wondering if everything the Sun Princess had said was true, about why she had made the decision to take him as her husband.

Was there really no scheme at all?

They entered the hallway behind the throne. It was a hallway full of doors and each side of the doors were paintings of various phenomena in the Heaven Realm.

From the sky full of lightning, the mountains exploding, the land full of graves, to the war between the dragons.

At the end of the hallway, there was a larger door.

It was made of brownish wood that seemed harder than iron.

The Sun Princess opened the door, revealing a very luxurious room.

"Welcome to my chambers," the woman said in a tone that sounded soft yet buzzing.

Ming Ze was somewhat shocked to hear that. She was apparently taking him to her room.

While he was being taken by the Sun Princess to her own room, the entire Heaven Realm was shocked by the news of the Princess apparently making Ming Ze her husband as a condition to save him from the people's siege.

This was too incomprehensible, shaking many people.

Unfortunately, this news was spread by Immortal Kings and even Immortal Emperors who saw it firsthand, so its accuracy could not be doubted.

When the news reached the Sun Empire, the entire empire was also shaken with shock.

They obviously knew nothing about this.

Some influential princes became angry so they immediately traveled to the palace.

They had seen the Princess's carriage returning to the palace, so they wanted to confirm it firsthand. Was the Princess there with Ming Ze?

The Sun Princess' room was so luxurious that Ming Ze was speechless.

There were rows of cabinets containing luxurious dresses and various jewelry. Each one was clearly a precious treasure.

The mattress was of the finest silk, having a thick quilt yet giving the impression of cloud-like softness.

Sleeping there could definitely make one dream about being the ruler of the world.

Only, the Sun Princess seemed to furrow her brow before she entered her room.

"Kaiya," she said to her servant.

The latter seemed instantly ready to take orders.

"Guard the gate and don't let anyone in. If anyone tries to enter, kill them," the princess continued.

Kaiya nodded, accepting the order without question.

After that, she went back outside.

Hearing the servant's name, Ming Ze was quite surprised because he had heard it before. That name was often talked about during the competition.

She was referred to as an orphan, coming from a corner of the Heaven Realm.

Only, she had such an extraordinary talent.

She grew up very quickly, even winning the great competition in the Southern Region with ease.

There was not so much news about her after that. However, it was clearly said that now she was an Immortal Emperor.

Ming Ze wondered if this servant was that Kaiya.

He didn't ask the Sun Princess, only continued to follow her as she stepped into the room.

"Lie down on that bed. It has a healing formation. Your wounds will be healed when you lie there," she said, much to Ming Ze's surprise.

The mattress's abilities weren't the issue, but the fact that she was letting him lie on her mattress was a bit too extraordinary. After all, there could be no other way to recover Ming Ze's injuries. However, she chose this way instead.

Even so, Ming Ze did as she said without comment.

He climbed onto that mattress and immediately laid down.

Sure enough, he instantly received a rush of life energy from the mattress, restoring his injuries and his damaged cultivation.

The Sun Princess was still standing beside the mattress, watching as Ming Ze lay down.

This actually made Ming Ze somewhat sleepy.

However, he felt uncomfortable if he had to sleep now.

His eyes looked up at the Sun Princess.

"Until now I didn't know your name, to be honest," he said, starting the conversation.

Since he did not know her name yet, he could ask her about it first.

"My name is Evelyn," she replied, not delaying her answer or trying to hide it.

"Evelyn!" Ming Ze spontaneously called out the name in a low voice.

"Mm!" His eyes gazed toward the window that was quite far from the bed.

Right at this moment, he felt an enormous energy outside the palace.

The palace wasn't affected at all, not even a sound could be heard, yet Ming Ze knew that the energy was enough to destroy most worlds in the Heaven Realm.

When he looked out the window, he saw a huge sun appear outside the palace ramparts.

Just looking at that sun was enough to make his eyes sting slightly.

However, a moment later a moon appeared, emitting a blue light that seemed to be extremely cold.

In a short period of time, that sun froze before turning into ice.

It then shattered into tiny pieces of ice.

The two parties releasing power were clearly limiting the power they were releasing plus the many formations around the palace were suppressing their power. Otherwise, even the entire city might be destroyed.

Ming Ze was certain it was a battle between two Immortal Emperors.

He guessed one of them was Kaiya. The other was probably one of the Princes of the Sun Empire.

Judging from the situation, Kaiya was clearly winning the fight.

"Hmph, useless trash, can't even defeat a servant," Evelyn said suddenly with a cold tone that sounded angry.

What she said was quite surprising to Ming Ze because it seemed like she didn't favor her servant, Kaiya.

This was a strange personality. Didn't she send Kaiya to stop her brothers?

After saying that, Evelyn looked at Ming Ze. Seeing that the latter was showing a strange expression, she said, "I have quite a few siblings, probably close to a thousand with different mothers. Although quite a few of them are stupid and annoying, they're still my brothers in the end, so I hope they're at least useful. The one who lost against Kaiya was the Seventh Prince, he was actually the third strongest of all the Princes. This means that only two other Princes are probably stronger than Kaiya, isn't this stupid? They disgraced their origins as sons of an Immortal Ancestor."

Ming Ze, "..."

Ming Ze hadn't expected that Evelyn would explain all that, and her explanation was somewhat unexpected.
