A/N: Nice…

[Third Person's PoV]

"Are you sure you're alright?" Annabeth asked with worry in her tone of voice.

"Yeah, don't worry. It's probably because they heard me when I called them bitches, and they didn't like it or something. I should be fine. I'll take it as a warning," Lucian said while secretly examining himself using magic.

The train then stopped, making them realize they had arrived at their destination. They got up and exited the vehicle, looking at Lucian with worry.

"Don't get me wrong, I appreciate you guys for worrying about me, but you're being annoying. Stop it," Lucian grumbled with his hands in his sweater pockets.

They didn't say anything else as they exited the train station, slowly making their way towards the mountains.

Lucian then let out a sigh when he realized they were being too silent. "Just ask away. I can feel your occasional glances towards me, so ask, and I'll try to answer to the best of my abilities."

The other three looked at each other, unsure of who should start, until Thalia decided to go first. "You got offended when I mentioned your mother killing her other children, and you said we don't really know what we were talking about. Can you share what you know of what really happened?"

"Heavy hitter for the first one, huh? Fine. I'll start this off by asking this: any of you know the Argonauts story and how my mother joined them?"

Annabeth raised her hand. "Didn't she just fall in love with Jason and decide to join him on his adventure after stopping where her father ruled?"

"Ha!" Lucian laughed in a condescending manner. "If it was only that simple," he said, shaking his head.

"As you may or may not know, Jason was a favorite of the Queen Goddess. I will not be mentioning their name for obvious reasons.

As a Queen, she isn't stupid or anything of the sort, so she knew Jason would be experiencing major difficulties in his challenges ahead retrieving the golden fleece. So, to help him, she devised a plan.

She got the Goddess of Love to make the kingdom's most powerful sorceress fall completely in love with Jason. That sorceress just so happens to be my mother.

As the Goddess of Love, when she makes someone fall in love, she makes them fall in love with their whole being, to the point where it becomes infatuation to the highest order. My mother, during the effects of the Goddess of Love, would have done everything in her power to appease Jason and make him love her back.

So, with the devotion she had for Jason, my mother killed her own brother and sliced him into pieces while using those pieces as bait without an ounce of hesitation when they tried to capture them when they left.

Believe it or not, my mother loved her brother. They apparently got on very well, so the act of killing her brother was a guilt she had continued to carry throughout her livelihood after coming off the effect of the Goddess of Love.

Meanwhile, during her journey with Jason, her power made it easier for Jason on his journeys. You already know what she has done during her time as an Argonaut. If you don't, search it up later or whatever.

Anyways, onto the ending. As you know, they got married, had kids, lived a happy life for a while before Jason fell in love with another woman upon realizing how crazy my mother was…

Fucking pussy doesn't understand the true meaning of a Yandere and grew scared, pathetic"

Lucian froze when he realized he said his thoughts out loud. He saw how they froze as well and looked at him with a weird expression, not knowing how to comment on what he just said.

They chose to do the only thing they could to completely ignore what he just said and wait for him to continue.

Lucian cleared his throat while blushing before reaching into his shadow and pulling out a gold coin, which he started flipping in the air.

"Here's something you should know," he said, pretending he didn't say anything outrageous previously.

"Love and Hate are two sides of the same coin," Lucian showed them heads before flipping it over to tails. "Just as you love someone dearly, with just a flip, you can just as easily hate them.

Due to the effect on her, her love for Jason turned into complete and utter hate when he betrayed her. So instead of loving Jason with all her being, she hated him with all her might.

Unfortunately, the hate she had was too much… and that's because the love forced upon her was equally as potent. Everything that reminded her of Jason she hated, once again, unfortunately, that included her children. She had no love for them at the time… she couldn't, it wasn't possible, only hate as they were a reminder of Jason.

And so as a being only capable of hating, she did the only thing she could at the time… she killed them."

Lucian didn't talk for a while after, and neither did the others. They only stared at each other with their mouths wide open as they almost couldn't believe what they were hearing.

'Although I feel like there's more to the story, like she was hiding something she didn't want me to know, for some reason, my intuition at the time activated, and it told me that it wasn't malicious. All my mother had in her eyes during her telling me this was pure sadness…' Lucian thought.

Meanwhile no one noticed Luke's knuckles turning white, as fury burned within him, 'Again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again. The God's play with our lives like we mean nothing, controlling us like chess pieces when they're bored without fearing any consequences.

I feel bad for Lucian's mother, having to kill her own children just because she was controlled by the gods. Who's next? When will it end? Will it be any one of us next? Lucian? Annabeth? Thalia?... or perhaps me?'

Would I kill one of my friends without realizing because I was controlled by the whims of the gods… to hell with them, to hell with all of them, they should all just d–'

"LUKE!" They all yelled startling him and breaking his thought process that was going in a downwards spiral.

"What?" He asked, looking around in confusion.

"We're here" Thalia said as they stood by the foot of the mountains.

"Mount Tamalpais" Annabeth said as they all looked up towards the peak of the mountain.

"Where the Garden of Hesperides resides" Lucian said without an expression.

Luke nodded before taking a step forward, "And where the object for my quest completion resides"
