Chapter 349 - 349 RECEIVING THE INHERITANCE

349 RECEIVING THE INHERITANCE

"Why must you resort to sacrificing your own conjurers? Have you no decency?" Seamus questioned Morgren in shock and horror.

"They will serve me better dead than being killed by the apprentice of Galadriel", Grandmaster Morgren replied to Supreme Seamus.

Suddenly, thorns appeared from the dark clouds in the sky. These magical thorns showered the Supreme Hall, striking Seamus and his wizards. This was the trade the Dark Realm offered to Morgren for the sacrifice of his elders' lives.

"Arggghhhhhh"

Seamus and his wizards screamed as their bodies were struck by the powerful and deadly thorns. Their life forces soon evaporate from the wound caused by the dark thorns that were killing them.

"Thorns of Soul Diminishing"

"What is happening to you?" I dashed to Seamus to ask him, transforming myself back to Oriese again to assure him I wasn't a Shadow Conjurer, before I turned back into Yaw Bulee.

"Yes, I guessed correctly it was you", he told me before adding, "The dark thorns will evaporate souls slowly. This is one of the strongest dark magic against magic souls. There is no recovering from it".

"It is over Seamus. Your soul cannot survive the Thorn of Soul Diminishing", Morgren said to Seamus.

"You will never defeat the true path to magic", Seamus replied to him defiantly.

"Stubborn fool", Morgren replied to him.

-----

Seamus and Morgren, the original Supremes, were among the pioneers who founded the Conjurer Court.

In time, the Supremes forged different paths that diverged in ideology and practice.

Supreme Conjurer Seamus, alongside the conjurers, championed a traditional approach, rooted in the gathering of magic through customary means. Theirs was a path of discipline and adherence to the established norms of magical development, followed by templars and conjurers alike.

It was a slow approach to gaining magic, but it was kosher.

On the contrary, Grandmaster Morgren led the Shadow conjurers down a darker avenue.

They delved into forbidden realms and embraced unconventional methods, harnessing powers deemed too risky or taboo by their counterparts. Through these practices, the Shadow conjurers achieved formidable strength, surpassing those who merely adhered to conventional magic gathering.

As time passed, tensions simmered between the two factions until they erupted into open conflict. The clash between light and shadow culminated in the defeat and subsequent exile of the Shadow Conjurers from the Conjurer Court.

However, victory came at a steep price.

Many Supremes fell in brutal confrontation, either succumbing to fatal wounds or retreating into self-imposed exile.

Their absence left a void within the once-mighty Conjurer Court, now weakened and vulnerable.

Years of neglect and corruption further eroded the Court's strength, rendering it susceptible to the return of the Shadow Conjurers. Exploiting the Court's weakened state, Morgren and their followers seized the opportunity to reclaim what they believed was rightfully theirs.

-----

Suddenly, the Pillar of Supreme illuminated in a blinding light. The enormous pillar that once supported the Supreme Hall rapidly shrunk in size to our surprise.

"Seize the Conjurer Inheritance", Morgren shouted to the shadow conjurers while pointing to the shrunken Pillar of Supreme.

The mysterious Conjurer Inheritance was contained inside the Pillar of Supreme we discovered in surprise.

"Apprentice of Galadriel, take the Conjurer Inheritance and keep it safe", Seamus said to me when suddenly the Pillar of Supreme shrunk into the size of a small artifact.

The Pillar of Supreme floated toward Seamus. Seamus took the Pillar of Supreme before shoving it into my body to my shock and surprise.

"What is this?" I asked Seamus.

"This is the magic of the Supremes, the correct path, the Path of Order, the Conjurer's Inheritance", Seamus told me to my surprise.

"No,…." Morgren shouted out in protest at the transfer of the Pillar of Supreme into me.

Suddenly, strange magic filled my body clashing with my existing magic. My chaos magic was stirred by the infusion of magic from the Conjurer Inheritance.

"Damnit, my chaos magic cannot contain this Inheritance", I complained to Seamus.

"You are destined for the Conjurer Inheritance. I knew it when you unsealed the Temple of Magic. You are the destined one", Seamus told me.

"I am not Galadriel's disciple", I told Seamus.

"I know it from the beginning. Galadriel's token was only the key for you to enter the Temple of Magic. But I must call you something, Galadriel's apprentice is an apt title", he replied to me.

"What is the Conjurer Inheritance?" I asked Seamus the Meek.

"When we arrived at this world from Ayen-Prolis, we brought a magical womb from the Realm of Order into this world, the strongest connection to the magic of Order. The Womb of Order became the Pillar of Supreme that ensured order among magic practitioners in this world", Seamus explained to me.

The Pillar of Supreme injected a powerful new magic source into my body, the magic of Order.

Suddenly, my body was immobilized by the clash of chaos and order in my body. During peaceful times, it was extremely dangerous to blend two opposing magic sources together. It was even more precarious in my situation now when we were in battle.

"You will kill this apprentice of Galadriel by giving him the Conjurer Inheritance. He does not have what it takes to accept the Inheritance", Shadow Supreme Morgren told Seamus.

"On the contrary, he is the only one among all of us who is most qualified to accept the inheritance", Seamus replied to him.

"That is not possible. Even I will not be able to contain the Inheritance in me if it was put into me directly like how you stuck it into the boy", Morgren said.

"He is not an ordinary boy. He has a divine body and awakens the magic of the Mind that can control all the magic paths", Seamus told him.

"Magic of the Mind? How is that possible? Is he a remnant of the Ayen gods? Divine body? Is he a god? Why will the gods bother with the business of mortals?" Morgren asked Seamus.

"What is he saying? I don't understand", I asked Seamus.

"Resolve and blend the conflict between chaos and order inside you with the control of your Mind, we will protect you with the remaining of our magic while you blend with the Inheritance", Seamus told me when he and his sheep transformed wizards surrounded me to cast a protective magic.

"How do you know there is conflict between Order and Chaos inside me?" I asked but I got no reply.

Despite being affected by the Thorns of Soul Diminishing, Seamus and the wizards used the last of their magic to protect me in a last act of self-sacrifice.
