CAPTURE THE SUPREME PILLAR
Appendages from the realms of darkness emerged with their long claws. The claws reached the prisoners, grabbing them and pulling them toward the dark realm in the clouds.
"No,…" the people inside the Supreme Hall screamed as they witnessed their families and friends being sacrificed to the dark realm but the Shadow Conjurers weren't bothered with them.
Nobody could save those prisoners now.
"How powerful is the spell the elders are going to cast?" I asked.
"If the sacrifice of Ivior can summon a magic portal into the Conjurer Court, the sacrifice of hundreds of these people who are more or less the worth of him at a hundred times will be able to create a powerful magic which will break the Rainbow of Supremes", Misenga replied to me.
"Once the Rainbow is gone, the Conjurer Court is ours", Kunka added.
Kunka and Misenga first came here to join the contest to obtain the Conjurer Inheritance.
It seemed that after this shadow invasion, the Conjurer Inheritance would belong to all of the shadow clan whether they won the contest or not. Even the Conjurer Court would belong to them.
Suddenly, a large hand appeared from the dark clouds. This cloud formed hand overshadowed the Rainbow of Supremes. Crackling with power and malevolence, the enormous hand slammed on the rainbow.
The rainbow failed to dissolve this enormous hand, this time leaving it a chance to strike again. As the shadow giant hand continued to pound on the Rainbow of Supremes, its magic began to falter and break.
"This is working, the Rainbow of Supreme will be broken very soon", an elder replied to Red Robe delightedly.
Eventually, the Rainbow of the Supremes finally broke. The final magic that protected the Supreme Hall was gone.
"Charge in and kill everyone", Axe shouted out as he flung his powerful axe into the Supreme Hall, breaking its main gates.
"Gladly," Hammer replied as his conjured hammer broke the walls of the Supreme Hall.
The Shadow Conjurers now surrounded the conjurers who were hiding inside the Supreme Hall. With a powerful throw, Axe broke the ceiling of the hall with his axe, as it collapsed into the conjurers.
The conjurers had to protect themselves from the falling debris as well as harm coming from the shadow conjurers. They cowered for protection.
"Hide, see how these creeps hide like rats", a shadow conjurer with a broadsword said.
"Clear a way for us, Sword. The debris is blocking our way", Hammer said to the guy.
Sword raised his long and broad sword before he swung it over the debris.
Suddenly, a powerful force rushed out from his sword that separated the ruined ceiling of the conjurer court into two, creating a path.
Flying axe and hammer flew across the debris as Axe and Hammer, smashing everything on both sides of the opened path, creating devastation in its wake slaughtering the hiding and cowering conjurers.
The path created by Sword reached a large pillar in the middle of the Supreme Hall.
This pillar was the core and concentration of the Conjurer Hall's magic and secrets.
"We must capture the Supreme Pillar", Red Robe told his men.
----
Red Robe strode confidently toward the Supreme Pillar, his entourage of dark-robed elders flanking him like ominous shadows.
Their mission: to seize control of the Supreme Pillar, the coveted prize that had driven the Shadow Conjurers to attack the Conjurer Court.
Amidst the chaos, the desperate conjurers fought fiercely for their survival, but the fate of the Conjurer Court seemed bleak. Many were killed by the army of shadow conjurers who were basically unstoppable.
Then, in a surreal twist, a lone sheep materialized before the Supreme Pillar.
"Really? A sheep?" the Shadow conjurers asked among themselves and laughed at the sight of the animal.
As if in response to the danger facing the Conjurer Court, the Pillar itself shimmered and transformed into a magical portal, unleashing a procession of creatures—primarily sheep and other livestock.
From within the mystical gateway emerged a shepherd, brandishing a worn out but sturdy staff.
In a breathtaking metamorphosis, the humble shepherd underwent a profound change, morphing into a majestic wizard clad in flowing blue robes and a pointed hat.
Even the sheep and goats underwent a similar transformation, evolving into formidable wizards in their own right.
Thus revealed, the wizard and his newfound companions stood as the final defenders of the Conjurer Court, ready to confront any who dared to challenge them.
-----
"Seamus the Meek, why are you, old fool still alive? You were supposed to be killed in the last battle for the Conjurer Court", Red Robe told the blue robed wizard in surprise.
"Morgren, why have you returned here? I can recognize you even behind your hood and mask. After so many years, haven't you repented for your mistaken ways?" Seamus asked Grandmaster Morgren, the Red Robe.
"Our way is the correct path to magic. Look at you now, you are merely a spirit in this despicable world who doesn't even care about you. Was it even worth it to sacrifice yourself for these worthless conjurers?", Grandmaster Morgren told Seamus and asked.
Seamus the Meek was one of the original Supreme Conjurers of the Conjurer Court. The few times I met him were in strange circumstances and in magical realms.
I understand the reason now. Seamus wasn't a living person.
He was an ethereal being that remains in this world after his death. The sheep that he tended to so carefully were not real sheep but the souls of the dead conjurers who fought with him in the last battle with the Shadow Conjurers.
Seamus was killed in that battle together with his companions. But their souls remained after their death and till this day, they still labored to protect the Conjurer Court.
"We stopped you from your wrong path before and we will stop you again, Morgren", Supreme Conjurer Seamus told Red Robe.
"That was a long time ago when the Supreme Conjurers were still,… Supreme. You are merely a fraction of the magic of your previous life, how are you going to stop us", Grandmaster Morgren replied to Seamus.
"Good will always triumph evil in the end no matter how daunting the task may be", Seamus replied to him.
"Then we shall fight", Grandmaster Morgren replied to Seamus with a challenge.
