THE CONJURER INHERITANCE COMPETITION
"Could he be a rebel, Ayen?" Strega asked.
"Nor is his magic Ayen, but his command of foundation magic is remarkable. Even in Prolis, few could master magic so well before they obtained their destined Spell", Narga told her.
"How can foundation magic be equivalent to a Spell? How did he do it in this continent?" Strega asked her teacher.
"The conjurers from this region usually couldn't achieve what he achieved with foundation magic but there is an obscure sect of conjurers who delved in the wicked and unknown. They might have discovered a way to achieve it", Mage Narga explained.
"What is this secret sect? I've never heard about it before from my studies of the Ten-Kingdoms?" Strega asked.
"It is the Shadow Sect. It is likely this boy is a product of this wicked sect", Narga said.
"Shall we report this to the Conjurer Court?" Strega asked her teacher.
"Well, firstly, it's only my speculation. Secondly, the matters in this continent don't concern us at all", Mage Narga replied to her.
"Yes, our purpose here in this continent is to enter the Armageddon Realm. I joined the Conjurer Inheritance competition just to test my newly awakened Spell", Strega said to her teacher.
"And to look for that missing monkey god although that is only secondary to our main mission", Narga said to her.
"Yes, teacher", Strega replied.
Suddenly, someone from below shouted up to disturb the conversation.
"Now give me the damn dress or I tear it out from you", Yaw Bulee screamed toward Strega who was looking down from the floating pavilion at him.
"You lost your bet. We, Mages of Prolis always honor our words", Mage Narga said to her student remind her with a cheeky smile.
Strega merely gave the guy her inverted thumb in reply before replying, "he'll have to come get it from me".

"How did you kill a hundred lions with a single conjuration? What kind of magic did you train in?" Misenga asked me when I exited the arena.
"Every Shadow Conjurer has their own secret techniques. That is no concern to you", I replied to him.
"Even Elder Tsianka isn't this powerful", Kunka said to us with some suspicion about my unexpected strength.
"I am born a genius. Elder Tsianka cannot compare to me at all", I replied to them as Conjurer Ivior rushed toward us with our arranged escort and transport.
We will be taken to the Pleasures Court for the evening.
"Are you sure you are only an apprentice Shadow Conjurer like us?" Misenga asked me.
The Shadow Conjurers have a ranking for their conjurers starting from Apprentice- Journeyman – Adept – Master – Grandmaster.
The Shadow Conjurers that were sent here to the Conjurer Inheritance Competition were apprentice levels. But even at the lowest level, these shadow conjurers were stronger than most conjurers of the Conjurer Court.
"What do you think I am?" I asked Misenga.
"Your skill should be at Adept or Master rank. Who are you actually? You are not one of us", Kunka accused me suspiciously again.
"Hahaha…I already told you. I am your Bully", I laughed and replied to them.
----
"This year the independent conjurers who joined the Conjurer Inheritance Competition are unusually strong. I have a bad feeling about this. We might actually lose the Conjurer Inheritance to some dubious independent conjurers", Supreme Conjurer Geesea said to the conjurers.
"As long as the Conjurer Inheritance doesn't end up going to the Shadow Conjurers it is fine with me", Master Conjurer Iras told them.
"The problem is, we do not know which of these independent conjurers came from the Shadows although we do know many of them did join. We cannot allow the Shadows to obtain our inheritance", another master conjurer said.
"From the strength displayed by these new independent conjurers, any one of them can be a Shadow or perhaps even all of them. Our young conjurers probably couldn't be their match", Supreme Conjurer Geesea told them.
"It is a pity Conjurer Oriese went on an expedition and hasn't returned. He is probably the only one among young conjurers who can defeat these weird and strong independents", Conjurer Iras said to them.
"You mean the Bully?" someone asked.
"Yes, I hate to say I will really miss the Bully this time. He would be able to deal with the Shadows", Geesea told them.
"Hey, there is a contestant called Bully among the independents, Your Bully", a conjurer said to them in amusement.
"He is not our Bully and hopefully not as strong as ours", Iras said.
"He just defeated a hundred conjured lions in the first round with a single move", someone informed to the shock of the others.
"How is that possible?" Supreme Conjurer Geesea asked.
"And Yaw Bulee isn't the only one who did that. Another girl, Strega, defeated a hundred conjured lions with just one spell at almost the same time", another conjurer told them.
"Damn, how are our conjurers going to fight against these crazy strong independents?" Geesea asked.
"Perhaps, we need to ask for assistance from the Knight Order of the Cross", Iras said to them as the others nodded in agreement.
"Eh… Our original Supremes will cry in their grave or wherever they may be if they knew the Conjurer Court of today needs the help of the Knights", Supreme Conjurer Geesea sighed and told them.
"By the way, do you know this Ivior is running errands for some of these independents and helping them in the competition", a conjurer asked.
"Ivior has lost most of his supporters after his earlier scandals. He probably wants to recruit some independents to join his sect to revive his fortune", Conjurer Iras told them.
"If it involves Ivior, it must smell fishy somewhere. These independents he is helping could very well be the Shadows that we are looking for", someone said.
"We better keep a watch on them", Supreme Conjurer Geesea told them.
"I heard Ivior is entertaining them in the Pleasure Court", someone said.
"Hahaha, that's Ivior's favorite place. He could dress in anything he likes over there", another commented and laughed.
Although Ivior doesn't have distinct fashion sense. The Herald Times ran countless columns about his queer taste in fashion. He was named the 'Cross Dresser' of the year.
