Chapter 29 - THE INDESTRUCTIBLE ZOMBIES

THE INDESTRUCTIBLE ZOMBIES

"Lance of Drakul"

The Demonlord's body burned and disintegrated as my continuous beam struck them, causing them serious burns.

Out of nowhere, magical thorns spun in the air, condensing the air around it, turning the spinning wind into powerful projectiles. The wind thorns struck the Demonlords, forcing into their armor and flesh and wounding them.

"Winds of Thorns"

The Wind Thorns were cast by Sara whose magic has improved tremendously after she was reborn as a human from the magic of the Immortal essence of the Anti-Saints.

The Demonlords' wings were badly damaged, and they fell to the ground, unable to sustain their flight.

To their horror, they were captured by magical chains that restrained and pulled them into the sky all of a sudden.

"Golden Chains of Greed and Restrain"

Ratatouille contributed to the battle and captured the Demonlords.

Before the Demonlords could react to their capture, magical serpents struck their heart, petrifying them, turning their hearts into stone.

Rinna cast her hologram serpents to finish off the Demonlords quickly.

"Rumble…rumble…rumble"

-----

Out of nowhere, the ground quaked, and structures crumbled as an ominous behemoth approached us.

A grotesque mass of flesh, it absorbed the deceased into its form, becoming a cursed monster born from the fusion of undead entities.

Within the monstrous head, the remnants of thousands of corpses formed a grotesque amalgamation. The creature's body melded with the mighty bones of formidable beasts and monsters, its limbs shielded by the ribcages of powerful creatures and the undead.

A noxious stench emanated from the putrid meat covering the monster, proving lethal to every living organism and plant in its wake.

This abomination wasn't a solitary entity but served as a vessel for the undead. As it neared, smaller undead beings leaped from its body to assail us.

The most horrifying aspect was that upon their demise, these creatures' corpses rejoined the behemoth, rendering it virtually indestructible. The relentless cycle bestowed upon the behemoth an unsettling immortality, making it an almost invincible force to be reckoned with.

-----

"It is Flesh Meat", Chash said to us about the behemoth that came charging toward us.

"This monster and the undead creeps are impossible to be killed. They will rejoin the Flesh Meat even if we destroy them", Ratatouille told us.

"The only way to destroy the undead is by fire, very strong fire", I said to them.

"Rain of Flames"

Flaming fireballs fell on the undead that rushed toward us, cast by the magical spheres around Cassandra. When Cassandra was reborn as a Golem, she obtained ten magical spheres from the ancient ruins of Bandra which gave her the ability to cast spells crafted into them.

The flame fell on the undead but to our shock and horror, the undead were not destroyed by the flames.

"Why are my flames not destroying the undead?" Cassandra asked and complained to us.

"Even my flame cannot kill those undead easily", Chash complained to us.

"The Flesh Meat must have evolved since we last saw them", Meera told us.

"Now, how are we going to kill these bloody creeps?" Ratatouille asked us.

"Die you wretched deviants, die in the name of the Holy church of All-Seeing", suddenly someone screamed toward the undead who were marching toward us.

Suddenly, a person who wore the attire of the church appeared from the rubble and cast magic from a chalice on his hand. Bright light was conjured from the sky that showered the undead that charged toward us.

"Holy Light of All-Seeing"

These undead suddenly fell to the ground, immobilized by the shower of holy light that was conjured upon them.

"Damn, the holy light can stop the undead", I said to them.

"But only momentarily, see when the light no longer shines on the undead, they move again", Rinna said to us.

"Yes, and the damn holy light doesn't affect Flesh Meat himself, only the bloody zombies that dropped from him", Sara added.

"What are we going to do now?" Cassandra asked us.

Before we knew what to do, Chash fired his wrath on the zombies who were immobilized by the holy light.

"Why did you do that for, the zombies don't burn?" Ratatouille chastised Chash.

But to our surprise his flames managed to destroy the undead, rather easily.

"This must be it, when the zombies are down with the holy light, they can be burned easily", Meera told us.

"Die, you scum unclean things", the priest screamed to the undead again as he cast his holy light once more.

"Now, Cass", I told Cassandra.

"Rain of flames"

A magical rain of flames fell on the zombies just as the priest's holy light disabled them, killing them with Cassandra's conjured flame.

"Rawwwrrrrrrr"

Suddenly, our efforts to destroy the zombies from Flesh Meat's rotten body gained his attention.

"You are not supposed to do that", Flesh Meat must have said to us when it growled and screamed toward us.

Flesh Meat leaped into the air before swooping down toward us.

Suddenly, one of Flesh Meat's limbs was captured by magical chains cast by Ratatouille.

"Golden Chains of Greed and Restrain"

The many chains conjured by Ratatouille managed to capture one of Flesh Meat's legs as he fell to the ground limping, while being pulled by the magical chains. However, Ratatouille's magic chain couldn't stop the monster coming for us.

"I will cast my chains", Cassandra told us.

"No, you save your spells for the zombies", I said to her.

Suddenly, a roll of tentacle like metal vines or chains rushed out from my end, rolling toward Flesh Meat before entangling it under its snare. The magic captured Flesh Meat's other leg, now finally stopping the monster in its tracks.

"Rails of Ikea"

This was the latest evolution of my magic skill, the Ravenous Growth, after my skill was enhanced by the artifacts, the Apostles' chains and the Sun Tree's evil vines.

"Rawwrrrrrrr"

Despite being ensnared, the Flesh Meat suddenly exploded its body as thousands of zombies rushed out from his body. These zombies were deadly and almost indestructible, and they carried with them a deadly poison.

"What are we going to do now?" Chash asked us.
