Chapter 79 - COLLECTING REWARD

COLLECTING REWARD

"Hey, why did you think of building the creature attraction arraye on top of the mountain peak?" Ratatouille asked me.

"Although that isn't a condition of his mission but after thinking about it, that is the only thing that can satisfy Seamus' conditions", I told them.

"What are his conditions?" Ratatouille asked me.

"We keep the sheep away from predators", Cassandra replied to him.

"We destroyed both his magical arrayes by taking his Temple of Magic- the one that attracted magic creatures to Tarah city to be killed by conjurers and the arraye that prevented the scorpion men going near the city", I added and said to them.

"So, without these magic arrayes, magic creatures in the wild and the scorpion men could hunt his sheep near the city", Chash said to us.

"Precisely, our magic arraye will attract all the wild creatures to come here and fight against the scorpion men. Both the wild creatures and the scorpion men have no time to go around eating at the Supreme Shepherd's sheep. This is a Win-Win-Win for all of us and the cost of it is just the arraye we set up on top of the mountain", I said to them.

"In return, master, you received the Horn of Blinding?", Meera asked me.

"Yes, it was used to form the Sword of Malevolence", I replied to her.

"Then the Dark Angel's revival is upon us", she said to me happily.

-----

I entered the Mission Center of the Conjurer Court, accompanied by my vigilant and legendary bodyguards.

Leading the way was Chash, donned in his menacing Demon face helmet, effortlessly clearing a path for me by warding off anyone who dared to cross my trajectory.

Walking alongside me were Cassandra and Meera, both adorned with equally formidable animal masks that concealed their unmatched beauty, allowing them to remain incognito. The mysterious allure of their disguises heightened the air of intimidation surrounding us.

Apprentice conjurers hastily avoided crossing my path, fleeing to a safe distance in fear of potential retribution, given my reputation for unpredictable outbursts. Even seasoned conjurers treated me with caution, no longer underestimating the threat I posed.

As the Bully of Starry City, I cast a shadow of dread throughout the Mission Center, embodying the feared demon that haunted the thoughts of those in my vicinity.

------

"How may I help you today?" someone at one of the booths in the Mission Center asked me.

"I came to collect my reward", I replied to him.

"Okay, let me update your record", he replied to me as he brought out a stack of vouchers.

The mission that we received was recorded in these vouchers and these vouchers were linked with the signature on my badge. If I completed the mission successfully, my badge would report the result to the mission booth by lighting up the mission vouchers.

"Ching…ching…ching"

"How many missions did you take up? Is there a mistake?" the guy asked me.

"There is no mistake, I took all those missions", I replied to him to his surprise and shock.

Suddenly, the operators of the other mission booths brought out their mission vouchers. To their shock and surprise, their vouchers lit up magically, to report about the completion of the missions.

"Who is this guy? Did he complete hundreds of missions at once?" someone asked.

"Don't you recognize him? He is the Bully of Starri city. He took more than a hundred missions from the Mission Center a month ago and he came back to report", another person replied to him.

"But did he really complete a hundred and more missions? Each mission is close to impossible for us to complete without a company of conjurers", a third person said to them.

"This is a fraud", someone shouted out as he came out to confront me.

"What? Did a dog just bark in here?" I asked.

"How dare you defraud the Mission Center by faking the completion of these missions?" the guy accused me.

"I'll give you a chance to explain how I defraud the Mission Center", I told him amusingly.

"It is impossible for someone to complete all these missions all at once", he replied to me.

"Is that your only explanation for accusing me?" I asked him again.

"You are a fraud", he insisted.

"Yeah, it is impossible to complete so many missions at once", someone from the crowd commented.

"Now, you, apprentice conjurer whose name I do not need to know. For the crime of accusing a Conjurer of the Conjurer's Court, I sentence you to the loss of one arm", I shouted to him.

"What are you talking about?" he questioned me.

Suddenly, a magical beam struck the guy's left arm before freezing it.

"Arrgggghhhhhh"

The guy screamed as his left arm was frozen by Chash's magic. Before he could ask for treatment, another beam struck the same arm, this time disintegrating it completely.

"Wrath of Ice and Fire"

"Arrrggggggghhhhh"

"How dare you cut my arm?" the guy shouted out to me angrily and in pain.

"You are lucky that I don't take your life", I replied to him.

Suddenly, the manager of the Mission Center rushed out and immediately he started to accuse me.

"You are not allowed to hurt other apprentices in the Conjurer Court, I will notify the Discipline Committee", the manager told me.

"Yes, you came at the right time. Get the Discipline Committee to arrest this broken arm immediately", I told him to his surprise.

"Why should I arrest him, he is the victim. You are the one who hurt him", the manager replied to me.

"Are you bloody blind? Can't you see the four stars on my badge?", I told him to his shock and surprise.

"How did he become a full-fledged conjurer in a month's time", the crowd asked among themselves.

"You…even a Conjurer is not supposed to hurt another in the Conjurer Court without a valid cause, you must be punished by the Discipline Committee", the manager told me.

"Yeah, this guy is too arrogant"

"He is a monster"

"We cannot have someone like him in our Conjurer Court"

The crowd were supportive of sanctioning me although I wasn't deterred at all by their opinions.
