Chapter 67 - SEAMUS THE MEEK

SEAMUS THE MEEK

"These bloody scorpions will soon breach our shields", Sara told us.

Suddenly, one of the scorpion men broke parts of our conjured shields and struck one of our tanks with his long scorpion tail.

Luckily for us our tanks were made from tough enhanced steel. The stings didn't manage to breach through our tanks although it managed to dent it badly.

"What are we going to do now?" Chash asked us worriedly.

Soon, more scorpion men managed to breach our magical shields to harm our tanks.

"We need to retreat", Sara said to us.

The Aqrabuamelu were much stronger than we expected and there were too many of them. So, we have to retreat first and prepare better for the next time.

Our Dragon Tanks rose into the air. Using the anti-gravity devices in the tanks as its propulsion, our tanks retreated and flew away.

After leaving the territory of the Aqrabuamelu, our tanks landed, and we made our way back using the tanks' wheels. Our Dragon Tanks' magical batteries couldn't power the anti-gravity device for long.

Suddenly, our convoy of Dragon tanks were stopped by hidden threats who lurked in the forests.

We stopped our tanks and cast our magical shields again.

"Damnit, we are low on power after the fight with the bloody scorpions, who are these creeps?" Chash complained to us.

We were stopped by an army of furry creatures.

"What the hell are these monsters stopping us?" Ratatouille asked us worriedly about the furry beasts before us.

"They are sheep, and they are ordinary, morons", Sara replied to them to our surprise.

Our convoy of tanks was stopped by a herd of sheep.

"Can someone shoo those sheep away?" Cassandra asked us.

"Wait there are herders behind the sheep", Meera told us about several people behind the sheep.

"They don't look like ordinary shepherd fools, their magic are legendary", Sara told us to our surprise.

"Why will legendary beings herd sheep here?" Chash asked us.

"We should greet them to find out", I replied to them.

-----

"Mister, are these sheep yours?" I asked the shepherd before me.

The shepherd looked ordinary although Sara detected strong magic in him. He could be as strong as a legendary being, if not better and it was odd that someone like that would be herding sheep here.

"Yes, they are mine. Your ships are killing the grasses for my sheep", the shepherd told us.

"We are sorry about that. We will move away from the grass", I replied to him and made my leave.

"Not so soon", the shepherd replied to me.

"What is the matter?" I asked him.

"You cause the wild beasts to eat my sheep, what are you doing about that?" he asked me.

"I didn't do that. Wild beasts don't belong to us, and we can't control them if they eat your sheep", I told the shepherd.

"Not you, but that girl over there. She took away the Temple of Magic", the shepherd said to me as he pointed to Sara.

"Who are you? How did you know about the Temple of Magic?" I asked him.

Sara overheard us and together with my friends came over to speak to the shepherd.

"You know about the magic arraye that drew wild creatures to the east forest of Tarah city?" Sara asked the shepherd.

"Of course, I know about it", the shepherd told us to our surprise.

"Even the Conjurer Court doesn't know about that magic arraye", I said to him.

"I crafted the magic arraye myself", the shepherd told us to our shock and more surprise.

There was only one kind of people who could access the Temple of Magic to cast the magic arraye that attracted wild beasts there. Only the Supreme conjurers or their descendants could do that.

This Supreme Conjurer used the Temple of Magic to attract wild creatures to the east forest of Tarah city, so these creatures would not eat his sheep. Even the conjurers in the Conjurer Court didn't know such a thing existed.

"You… you are a Supreme Conjurer?" I asked him.

"I am Seamus the Meek", the Supreme Conjurer introduced himself to us.

"Who will call himself meek?" Sara asked him curiously.

"You are the disciple of Galadriel the Timid?" Seamus asked me suddenly.

"Galadriel the Timid? Never heard of him", I replied to him.

"Then how could you open the door to the Temple of Magic with his emblem, if you are not his disciple?", Seamus asked me.

"My conjurer master's name is Greenduff", I told Seamus honestly.

"Whatever, it's been so long. I might have forgotten his name", he said to me.

"Why do the Supreme conjurers have such humble names? Meek and Timid?" Meera asked us amusedly.

"Because against true powers, we are only petty and small", the shepherd replied to us.

"What do you want from me? My Temple of Magic?" Sara asked the shepherd.

"Why will I want that for?" he asked us.

"Then what do you want from us?" Sara asked the shepherd.

"Maybe he wants compensation?" Cassandra suggested to us softly.

"We have drawn all the wild creatures for hundreds of miles to a pit to be hunted, there won't be many wild creatures preying on your sheep. Don't worry", I said to the shepherd.

"I'm not worried about those wild creatures, only the scorpions", he said to us.

"Scorpions? As in Agrabuamelu?" I asked him.

"My magic arraye will stop them from leaving their burrows in the mountain. When you took away the Temple of Magic, you destroyed my magic arraye", Seamus said to us.

"You used the Temple of Magic to confine the Agrabuamelu inside Mount Agra?" I asked Seamus the Supreme Conjurer.

"You finally got it right", he said to me.

"Do you want Sara to help you recast the scorpion confining arraye?" I asked him.

"I have no bloody idea how to cast the scorpion confining arraye", Sara protested to the Supreme Conjurer.

"No and yes", he replied to us.

"What do you mean?" I asked him.
