Chapter 58 - I AM YOUR BULLY

I AM YOUR BULLY

"Challenge begins"

"Starfire Flash", Orol shouted out to me from his seats in the audience.

That was the spell of the Kaleon family, but I wasn't going to use that spell. I was just going to fight hand-to-hand with these challengers.

"You scum doesn't deserve to die by my spells", I shouted to the apprentice conjurers who just passed their tests.

"You will die with a single conjuration from me", the first person who challenged me shouted out as he came out to fight with me.

Before my first challenger could muster his conjuration, I was already upon him. With a single punch, I threw him out of the fighting arena, his bones shattered by my single punch.

"Drums of Kradesh"

"What the hell just happened there?" Conjurer Ivior asked the others.

"He whacked the challenger just like that and broke his back", another conjurer replied to him.

"Hey, that is the same punch in this comic", Conjurer Iras told the rest as he showed them my comic strip.

"Oriese, the Bully of Starri and his one-inch punch", a conjurer read the heading of the comic.

The other challengers were stunned by my swift victory over the first challenger.

"One Punch is all it takes", I shouted to my challengers as I showed them my fist.

Immediately, the rest of the first line of challengers quit their challenge and left the arena.

"He is the Bully of Starri city", one of the challengers shouted out when he finally recognized me.

The challengers started to gossip immediately and doubted their decisions to challenge me. I was after all the Bully of Starri city who destroyed a legendary Duke with one punch.

"Let's take him together", one of the challengers on the second line suggested to the rest.

"Yes, we take him together. He said it himself, one against ninety-nine. He didn't say one by one", someone else added.

The five challengers started conjuring their magic. Although they seemed to be worried about me because of my notorious reputation, their magic was cast without many distractions.

"Spears of Kal" "Wind Spikes of Grock" "Star of flame" "Sword of Ice" "Beams of destruction"

The challengers all successfully cast their magic at me.

However, none of their magic struck me. The spears, spikes, swords and whatever struck the ground behind me. None of these challenger's magic managed to touch me at all. The projectiles were all misdirected by my chaos magic.

"Chaos Field"

"He is a demon", someone among them shouted out in disbelief.

"I am your Bully", I shouted back at them when suddenly magical rails struck the five challengers, grasping them, before throwing them out of the arena.

"Rails of Ikea"

----

"What are those chains or what the hell are they?" a Master conjurer asked the rest.

"They seem to be metallic vines or rails of some kind", Conjurer Iras told them.

"Is he really an Earth tier?" someone else added.

"The right question should be, is our star counting machine broken or not? His magic needs more stars in their constellation than all the stars an Earth tier possesses", Conjurer Iras said to them.

"He is faking his magic tier? For what?" Conjurer Ivior asked them.

"So that he could run this show, one against ninety-eight apprentice conjurers. Do you see those fellas there quickly scribing and drawing this fight, they are reporters from the newspaper", Conjurer Iras said to them as he pointed at reporters in the audience.

"Damn, did our Conjurer Court become this boy's publicity stunt?" Conjurer Ivior asked the rest.

-----

The second line of challengers were defeated and out of the arena, so I was faced with the third line.

Suddenly, magical rails appeared behind me, waving like an octopus with giant tentacles ready to strike its victims. My challengers were shocked by the imagery and couldn't cast any magic.

They were simply stunned.

"Rails of Ikea"

My magical rails grabbed the third line of apprentices before throwing them out of the arena.

Before the fourth line of apprentices could react, they were grabbed by my rails before they were thrown out of the arena. Soon, half of the apprentices who challenged me were out of the contest.

"Forget about the lines, we all gather to fight", one of the apprentices suggested to the others.

-----

About fifty apprentices formed a tight-knit group, resembling a makeshift militia as they charged toward me.

Some attempted to hurl projectiles my way, unaware of their futility against me.

Others sprinted with magically charged weapons in hand. However, their advance was thwarted by my conjured rails, leaving them unable to inflict any harm. The melee apprentices found themselves ensnared by the magical rails before they could even reach me.

With confidence, I proceeded to advance towards the remaining apprentices.

"Do you yield?" I screamed to the apprentices.

As I walked, the magical assaults of flames, ice, and various spells hurled by the apprentices had no effect on me. Meanwhile, a dozen apprentices clung desperately to my magical rails above, being twirled about violently.

In the audience gallery, reporters feverishly replicated the chaotic scene. The monstrous figure of the Bully of Starri city pressed on, effortlessly tossing the hapless apprentices around like mere toys to be manipulated and discarded.

------

"Do you yield?" I asked the apprentices one last time.

Without much hesitation, the apprentices fell to the ground, prostrated toward me. They were not just yielding the competition to me. They were practically begging for their lives.

"Don't kill us, I beg of you."

"Sorry for our stupidity, we angered a demon."

"We will be your slaves from now on, just spare us."

The challenger's will was broken. The match was won.

The imagery of the Bully of Starri, the monstrous multi-limbed monster of death was ingrained in the minds of these apprentice challenger and also in the audience.

In a day or two, this same imagery would be replicated and sent to all the cities in the kingdom, reliving this dark imagery in the minds of the readers of the Herald Times.

"What are you bloody waiting for, announce the result", I shouted to the judges of the match.

"Oriese, wins against ninety-eight", the judge announced.
