THE JOURNEY OF THE MIND
[At the Sacred Grove in Mamane Fortress]
"Oriese, thank you for saving me this time, I thought I would be gone for good this time if the Mages of Prolis could catch me", Hanuman thanked me.
"You helped me a lot before this, and I couldn't repay you for it. Consider this a repayment", I told Hanuman and asked.
"That is not enough. You have given me more help than I ever gave to you. I merely taught you a certain loophole in magic. You on the other hand saved my soul", Hanuman told me.
"Why did the Mages of Prolis make so much effort to catch you?" I asked Hanuman.
"We, the Ayen race have discovered a special magic that could grant us the magic of the gods even if our magic hasn't reached the stage of divine. The Mages of Prolis wants our souls to gain this magic. That is one of the reasons the Mages of Prolis attacked us", Hanuman explained to me.
"Special magic of the gods?" I asked.
"We, Ayens are good at finding shorter routes that could improve our magic. This special magic is our greatest achievement, but it also caused our downfall because our discovery was coveted by those stronger than us", Hanuman said.
"Loopholes in magic? Just like how you taught me to use bone magic to enhance my templar magic without awakening the magic of the bones?" I asked.
"Precisely", he replied to me.
Previously, Hanuman taught me a method to augment my templar skills with the use of the magic in my bones.
Humans usually gather magic in either their heart, bones, soul, or blood. The magic of the different paths was usually exclusive to each other.
The Ayen gods discovered a method to combine the magic of different paths to reach a higher path.
"What is your Special magic?" I asked him curiously.
"We call it the magic of the Mind or the fifth path to human enlightenment", Hanuman told me.
"I have heard about this path before, but it is almost impossible to awaken this magic", I said to him.
"The Magic of the Mind can combine all the magic of the other four paths to create a state of divinity, but the magic path of Mind only awakens after one achieves the apex of their magic in all the four paths. Few except the gods of the realms could achieve that", Hanuman explained to me.
"You, Ayen race achieved the apex of all your magic paths?" I asked him.
"No,..no. We have not awakened all our magic path, let alone achieving the apex of magic in all the paths", he said.
"Then how did you manage to awaken the magic of the Mind?" I asked him.
"We found a loophole just like the loophole that helped you borrow your unawakened bone magic to augment your heart magic", Hanuman told me.
"There is such a wonderful trick. Can you teach me?" I asked Hanuman.
"To receive my Mind, there are conditions that must be met. My Mind needs to be nourished by a powerful source of magic. Humans who haven't reached the apex of magic in all the four paths could not sustain this magic", he said.
"Damn, that must be difficult or impossible", I told him regrettably.
"On the contrary, I discovered a source of exactly such magic inside of you", Hanuman said to me.
"Really, what source of magic? Why don't I know about it? I haven't awakened all my four paths. I even lost my heart, soul and bone magic," I asked him.
"You have access to the magic of the Dark Realm. I discovered it while inside your soul realm", Hanuman told me.
"Damn. I understand now. It must be the magic of the Dark Angel although they could only be controlled by the souls of the previous Dark Angels in me", I told him.
"Your situation I understand. I've even met the Dark Angel souls inside your soul realm. Horrible souls", he told me.
"Is there no other way? I need to wrest power from those idiot souls", I asked.
Hanuman studied me further before he discovered something else.
"I don't know how you managed it, but you established a channel to chaos magic. My Mind can be nourished with this divine source of magic", Hanuman told me to my surprise.
"That is fantastic can you teach me the magic of the Mind?", I asked Hanuman.
"I couldn't teach you how to awaken your Mind, but I can allow you to have temporary access to it- you can have my Mind. I will enter the Realm of Life soon and probably will not emerge for a very long time. I guess you will need my Mind more than me", Hanuman, the god of Ayen, said to me.
"You'll lend me your Mind?" I asked in confusion.
Hanuman pointed into my forehead as a bright light traveled from him into mine and immediately, I reached another realm. This was Hanuman's gift to me.
"Where did you bring me?" I asked Hanuman.
"This is what you asked for, access to the magic of your Mind, or my Mind. Few have reached their mind besides the gods of the realms or those aspiring to be", Hanuman told me to my shock and surprise.
"The magic of the gods? Can I resist the souls of the Dark Angels with it?" I asked.
"That is exactly the reason that I will induct you into the magic of the mind. Only with the magic of the Mind can you resist the Dark Angel's subjugation of your consciousness and regain control of your soul and heart", Hanuman said.
"Have I awakened the magic of the Mind? The master of the five paths of magic?" I asked the Ayen God.
"Even we, Ayen gods, have not reached that level of the mind. What we discovered is a loophole, a flaw in the realm that enabled our access", he said.
"Will I become like the gods with this magic?" I asked with greedy interest.
"It depends on how you make use of this, but you will not have access to this magic permanently. Remember to use it wisely while you could", Hanuman told me.
"How long do I have with this magic, loophole?" I asked him.
"Until my resurrection. The magic of the Mind that I gave to you is on loan. It will return to me once my true body is returned to me", Hanuman told me.
