Chapter 288 - FATE OF GEMINI DIVIDED

FATE OF GEMINI DIVIDED

"Will the Bully be arrogant enough to enter the Temple of Dragons?" Darklord asked.

"He already intends to go there from the way he is searching for the libraries in Drachia for information about the Temple of Dragon. We just need to give him a nudge", Kolgane told them.

"Assuming he would take the journey, what if he escapes from the Temple of Dragons? He always seems to be able to perform the impossible," Emily asked.

"We set a trap for him in the mountains outside the Temple of Dragons. He will not expect a trap to be waiting for him there", Kolgane suggested to them.

"I don't think any trap will stop the Bully if he can escape from the Temple of Dragons", Darklord told them.

"I have discovered a magic arraye that could be strong enough to trap most legendary beings beneath the level of the divine. If the Bully will venture out of the Temple of Dragons, we can trap him with the magic arraye", Queen Emerald told Kolgane as she gave him a scroll with instructions about a powerful bone prison arraye.

"That will be fantastic. I will go prepare the magic arraye", Kolgane replied to the Queen before he took the scroll and left them to make preparations.

"Are you sure the skeleton will be up to the task?" Darklord asked his daughter.

"Yes, we were tricked by the Bully last time in Tarah city thinking that he was a fake. He couldn't be a fake if he could repel our carefully planned invasion", Darklord told them.

"That was all Kolgane's fault. He failed to recognize the real Bully when he had the chance to do so close", Emily complained about Kolgane's fault.

"Kolgane will make up for his fault this time", Queen Emerald told them.

"Do you think this magic arraye bone trap will work?" Darklord asked.

"Kolgane is clever, but he is far from the guile of the Bully, he will likely fail in his endeavor", the Queen told them.

"Then why are you sending him to trap the Bully?" Darklord asked his daughter.

"Oh, he will trap the Bully, but it wouldn't be the bone arraye prison that traps him", Queen Emerald told them.

"I don't understand my queen, where then is the trap for the Bully?" Emily asked her.

"The trap for the Bully is right here in this sacred grove. Didn't Kolgane say he is invincible while in his sacred grove?" Queen Emerald told them and asked.

"So, you expect Kolgane to fail with the trap in the mountains and lead the Bully to this sacred grove where he would use the magic of his ancestors to defeat the Bully?" Darklord asked.

"The best traps are once that you don't need to lay", Queen Emerald told them.

"Should we make preparations too in the sacred grove?" Emily asked.

"No, we do nothing like that. This will all be Kolgane's own effort and doing. If he knows we were preparing a trap in his sacred grove, he will not act out his part naturally", Queen Emerald told them.

"The skeleton face bragged about his invincibility in the sacred grove. Let him test out his own claim", Darklord told them.

[Back to the Sacred Grove]

In an instant, the Skeleton King found himself hoisted from the earth, his skeletal form disconnected from the ancient magic buried beneath.

As he ascended, a potent barrier materialized, enveloping both him and the Bully within its confines.

Imprisoned within this formidable dome, neither the Skeleton King nor the Bully could escape its mystical grasp. Its indestructible nature ensured that whatever occurred inside remained beyond the reach of external interference.

Transported into a realm beyond comprehension, we found ourselves engulfed in a maelstrom of magical chaos.

Logic and familiarity were foreign concepts here, replaced by a disorienting dance of unpredictable elements. Objects, both bizarre and menacing, careened through the air, colliding with each other and with us in a relentless assault.

In this surreal landscape, there was no solid ground to stand on, no sky above to offer solace. We were confined within an expansive void, the sole arena for our impending battle to the death.

Whatever occurred within this magical realm remained isolated from the outside world, impervious to the influence of external forces.

Here, amidst the chaos, we were pawns in a duel ordained by mystical powers – me pitted against the Skeleton King in a struggle for survival.

We, the Gemini, divided and forced into combat, knew that only one of us would emerge victorious from this confrontation. Until that moment, we were prisoners of this battleground, until Gemini is no longer divided, or battle resolved with the end of one of us.

"Fate of Gemini Divided"

"What did you do? Where are we?" Skeleton King asked me in shock and surprise.

"It is the first time I've been here too myself. Sorry I can't give you a tour", I replied to him.

I learned a special magic from Discord College that I thought was useless initially.

The magic could put the caster into an eternal duel with another inside a special conjured realm, a magic arena, which would only end with the death of one of them.

Nothing outside our magic arena would affect us nor could we affect the outside world.

This was thought to be a useless magic because Chaos users were powerful in controlling the situation but were usually weak in combat, especially against powerful conjurers and knights. Pitting someone against the Chaos user was practically suicide for the chaos user.

But this magic was perfect for me because unlike most Chaos users, I wasn't useless in personal combat.

"What is happening to the source of my magic?" Kolgane shouted angrily and asked.

"The magic from the ancient burial ground couldn't help you in this arena. No outside magic will influence our duel", I replied to him.

"This is impossible. I will kill you", Kolgane shouted to me angrily.
