THE GRIMOIRE AND DIARY OF THE WARLOCK
"Because the cloud eagles are not really made from cloud. They just have cloud like feathers that could fool people to think they were the same as the cloud animals that patrolled the sky. They came in the night and returned before the morning", I told them.
"Those eagles are the warlock's pets?" Cassandra asked.
"They could be. They religiously bring people from the hills to the warlock when night comes and returns them before the morning, after the warlock feasted on their magic", I explained to them.
"So, we can fly to Castle Delirium at night? That is the key to traveling in this realm?" Rinna asked me excitedly.
"I guess so", I replied to her.
------
We waited for nightfall before we would fly to Castle Delirium.
Meanwhile, we have nothing better to do in this cloud realm.
"What can we do here?" I asked them.
"Well, you can read a book", Ratatouille told me as he brought out a large bound book.
"Where did you get this dusty book?" I asked him.
"From the secret stash of the warlock of course", he replied to me shamelessly.
"You stole from the bloody warlock?" I asked him and he smiled at me greedily with a face that said, "Of course".
"It's the Grimoire of the previous Dark Angel", Yasha quickly told me when she recognized the book.
"Let me see", Sara said to us and took the book before opening it.
She quickly scanned everything in the book into her database and analyzed them.
"Is it anything good?" I asked Sara.
"Most of the templar skills inside are junk although there is one skill that I can't tell about its function. I couldn't connect to all its circuitries", she told me as she pointed the page to me.
There was a particular spell in the Warlock's Grimoire that Sara pointed to me that was extremely complex. It would be impossible to cast this constellation by most templars due to the diverse stars required for it.
Luckily for me, my magical tier was already at mid Uranus tier, which is among the strongest templar in the Ten-Kingdoms. I also have a fifth constellation sky and the Angel Affinity that further multiplied the stars in my templar sky.
"This templar conjuration is designed for someone like me", I told them excitedly about the new skill.
"You mean like the Dark Angel?" Melroy asked me.
"I believe only the Dark Angel, or his candidates can cast the skill", Meera told us.
"Of course, the skill came from the Grimoire of the Dark Angel", Chash replied to her.
"Or his Incarnate", Yasha added.
"What is the name of the skill?" Cassandra asked us.
"Radiant Frog Controlling Sun", I replied to them.
"The name sounds funny and weird", Melroy told me and commented.
"The skill has elements of chaos and fire in it mostly although I don't know what the hell will be cast out from it", Sara told us.
"You should try out the skill", Rinna suggested to me.
"The skill wouldn't be spectacular if it is not enhanced by my bone magic's empowerment. I'll wait till I find the right elements or artifacts for the skill before trying it", I told them.
"Hey, try out some of this stuff from the warlock. He kept them like treasures, maybe they are related to his magic", Ratatouille told us as he brought out a few random artifacts.
What Ratatouille found for me wasn't remarkable except for a crystal that magnified lights. When exposed to light it would focus on a beam that could damage and burn.
"It's a magnifying crystal", Yasha said to me immediately as she recognized the artifact.
"What is the crystal?" I asked her.
"This crystal is a rare artifact, almost as rare as divine artifacts. The Mages of Prolis uses this material to create divine artifacts", Yasha explained to us.
The divine artifacts that we have in the Ten-Kingdoms couldn't be created from our own magic or our materials. Only in Prolis could such artifacts be crafted. Some of them were brought into the Ten-Kingdoms and were cherished as divine.
"I knew it", Meera told us suddenly.
"What is it?" Cassandra asked her.
"This magnifying crystal is related to the warlock's skill, the Radiant Frog Controlling Sun. The warlock is using this skill to replicate the magic of the Sword of Malevolence", Meera told me.
"This magic can be as good as the Sword of Malevolence? How do you know about that?" I asked her.
"The Warlock wrote about it in his diary", Meera replied to me.
"Damn, you even read the idiot's diary", I commented.
"The Warlock is a living witness to the previous Revelations, his insights will give us many valuable lessons for the new Revelations", Meera replied.
"Then I must try out this skill if it can replicate the magic of the Sword of Malevolence", I told them.
"What is the point? You can already cast the Sword of Malevolence which is a far greater magic", Sara asked me.
"The Sword of Malevolence isn't my magic. It belongs to the Dark Angel", I replied to her.
-----
So, I tried to learn the special skill of the warlord while we waited for night to fall.
The constellation of the magic was complicated, and it had to use many stars and planets from all my templar skies. After learning the magic, I tried augmenting the constellation in my bone realm with the magnifying crystal that Ratatouille found for me.
To my surprise, the augmentation was successful. The magnifying crystal was suitable to augment to the skill, the Radiant Frog Controlling Sun.
"Have you mastered the magic?" Cassandra asked me.
"I have but I guess I shouldn't try it out now. I don't want to alert the Warlock if I used his magic here and besides, I don't really know what is the effect of the magic", I replied to her.
Soon, night fell, and we prepared to leave the place where the adventurers were stranded in this Delirium world.
