Chapter 165 - AMBUSH THE FIVE ARMIES

AMBUSH THE FIVE ARMIES

"They must have summoned them from their Pool of Sufferings", Alfred informed Eirot.

"But I could only summon Gajahshuras. Why can't I summon the Inferno Kings?" Eirot asked Alfred.

"Because you will need a bigger Pool of Suffering", Alfred explained to her.

"There are different sizes to the pools?" I asked him.

"Of course,", he replied to me.

"But we don't even have a pool right now. We shouldn't have taken the magic from the pools", Brathnok said to us and complained.

Brathnok and the other Demonlords were still sore with the fact that Eirot listened to us and destroyed the Pools of Sufferings despite their complaints. The Pools of Sufferings were the source of demon's magic, and they had a difficult time adjusting to the situation without it.

But losing the Pools of Sufferings by absorbing them into Eirot's Realm of Damnation wasn't the end of the story for the pools.

"The Unholy Grail is as good as the best summoning pool", Alfred told us.

The Demonlords listened with interest to what Alfred had to say.

"When the Unholy Grail is formed it would be many times stronger and better than the best Pools of Sufferings in Hell right now", Alfred added to his explanation.

"Can I form my Unholy Grail now?" Eirot asked Alfred.

"Mistress, you have taken four Pools of Suffering, it is possible to form the Unholy Grail now although its magic will not be at its peak and there is a good chance for failure", Alfred replied to her and advised.

"How can it be formed then?" Eirot asked Alfred.

"We will need a large sacrifice if you insist on doing it now", he replied to her.

-----

In the harsh expanse of the Infernal realm, within sight of Castle Konzovok, the combined forces of the five clans gathered, poised for action. Yet, we refused to grant them the initiative.

Five hundred of our elite Hellhound riders surged forth, launching swift strikes against the advancing enemy before swiftly retreating.

As expected, the invaders gave chase, reminiscent of tactics we had employed against the Grey and Crawling clans earlier.

In response to the provocation, a formidable contingent of Hellish cavalry, accompanied by hundreds of airborne Demonlords, was dispatched to pursue us.

The enemy's main force followed closely behind as they marched toward Kanzovok castle, navigating the perilous terrain of Hell with its jagged rocks and rivers of molten lava.

As the cavalry entered a narrow canyon leading to the castle, their pace slowed, when suddenly, a brilliant holy light enveloped them, causing their Hellhounds to panic and flee, leaving their riders stranded.

In the skies above, five hundred Demonlords materialized to confront their counterparts from the five clans, engaging in a fierce aerial battle.

Meanwhile, the dismounted riders waited in the canyon, ready to reunite with their main army once they arrived.

-----

"What happened to the enemy Hellriders? How did they disappear all of a sudden?" General Vogron, the commander of the allied five clans asked the others.

"The Hellhound riders were Demonlords who rode on Hellhounds in disguise. They suddenly rose into the air to meet our army in the sky", General Oghtak replied to him.

"Why must their Demonlords pretend to be Hellhound riders?" General Vogron asked but the others were puzzled by the enemies' tactic.

"It doesn't matter, once our main force regroups with our riders, we would march toward Kanzovok castle. The canyon is a direct route to the enemy castle", General Oghtax suggested to them.

"Damn those enemy Hellhound riders. If we didn't chase them, we would not take this bloody route", General Vogron complained to them.

"Should we be worried about our Demonlords, our numbers are a little less than the enemy?" General Oghtax asked the commander.

"Although the enemies' army in the sky outnumbers us, they are rather ineffective against our brave Demonlords. Look at the way they fight, they couldn't defeat us despite their numbers. Fools", General Vogron told him.

Although the contingent of Demonlords of the Kanzovok castle were many, their battle with the armies of the five clans appeared halfhearted. They failed to win the battle against the invaders although they managed to keep them in the air until the main army of the five clans arrived.

The armies of the five clans soon reached where the Demonlords of both armies were fighting in the air.

-----

"Now are men are gathered, we march toward Kanzovok castle", General Vogron told his captains and generals.

As the demons of the five armies prepared to assault the Demonlords of the enemy in the air, suddenly loud rumblings came from the hill and peak around them.

"Rumble…rumble"

Suddenly, a large peak ahead of the armies of the five clans broke and the avalanche fell into the canyon, blocking the canyon's passage completely.

"What is this? Who caused this avalanche?" General Vogron asked.

"This must be the tricks of the enemies", General Oghtak replied to him.

"Retreat. We retreat from this canyon and find another route to attack Kanzovok castle", General Vogron told his men.

Suddenly, another avalanche happened behind the demon army of the five clans, blocking their return passage.

"We are trapped, what should we do?" General Oghtak asked.

"We fight. There are only about five hundred Demonlords in the air, we can overcome them", General Vogron told his men.

Suddenly, a powerful force emerged around the demons, causing unbearable pressure on them. The demon's bodies felt heavy as they fell to the ground from the increased gravity.

In front of the army of the five clans were a group of humans, who were most possibly responsible for the gravity.

"Who are you people? Why do you block the passage of our army?" General Vogron shouted to the group of humans.

Suddenly, a woman rose into the sky before the armies of the five clans and spoke to them.

----

"I am Eirot, Savior of the Demons. You shall submit to me or face eternal death", Eirot said to the demons.

"We will not surrender to you humans. Our forces will crush your puny existence", General Vogron screamed to Eirot.
