Chapter 148 - THE AVATAR OF SHINING KNIGHT

THE AVATAR OF SHINING KNIGHT

Suddenly, amidst the chaos of battle, the remaining knights on the opposing side ceased their conjurations.

Despite injuries and captures by our forces, approximately two dozen knights remained. They drew together, their bodies pressed tightly like members of an acrobatic troupe. Soon, a surge of energy pulsed through them, weaving together to form a powerful magic.

An artifact rose into the sky above the knights as a colossal projection emerged above the locked bodies of the knights - their Avatar, a manifestation born from their combined magic, channeled by the mysterious artifact.

Towering above them, the Avatar took the shape of a gleaming knight in armor, casting a formidable shadow that stretched across the battlefield.

This was the pinnacle of the Knight Templars of Drachia's sorcery.

With a commanding gesture, the towering knight Avatar brought down its mighty sword upon us, shattering the peak of the mountain and lifting us into the air.

The tide of battle had unmistakably shifted with the summoning of this formidable entity.

------

"What in Hell is that?" Ratatouille asked us as he dropped the knights that he held with his golden chains onto a flying pavilion.

The knights fell to the pavilion, their minds knocked unconscious after Ratatouille's golden chains drained them of all their magic.

"That is the Avatar of the Knights of Drachia", I told them.

"These knights can combine their strength to summon a powerful Avatar that is many times stronger than their combined magic", Meera explained to us.

"With magic like this, even the Demon army should fear the Knights of Drachia", Chash told us.

"Well, let's meet the Avatar of the Shining Armor", I told them.

-----

A burst of energy surged towards the towering form of the Shining Knight's Avatar, aimed to immobilize it, but only managed to freeze a portion of its shoulder. Despite the effort, the Avatar, a behemoth of unparalleled strength, remained largely unaffected by Chash's magic.

Meera, undeterred, unleashed her magical mirrors which shattered upon the Avatar, sending countless shards flying and striking him. However, even this assault failed to breach the thick armor adorning the giant's form.

In a moment of desperation, a massive sword materialized from the heavens, a weapon summoned from the depths of the infernal realm.

The Sword of Brimstone, wreathed in molten flames, descended upon the Avatar with lethal intent. Yet, the Avatar swiftly countered, parrying the fiery blade with his own formidable sword.

Next, golden chains cascaded down upon the colossal figure, an attempt to ensnare and restrain it. However, the Avatar proved too mighty for the magical bindings, effortlessly shrugging off their attempts to constrain even a single limb.

The strength of the Shining Knight's Avatar was beyond the grasp of such mystical constraints.

-----

"This Avatar of Shining Armor is too strong. He is as strong as a Blue Legendary", Chash complained to us.

"Only the Sword of Malevolence can defeat the Avatar", Meera told me her opinion.

"It is impractical for me to summon the Sword of Malevolence in public like this and just to defeat some graduate knights. It is not worth it", I replied to her.

"Are we going to lose to the Avatar then?" Cassandra asked me.

"Why don't you ask the rude girl?" Ratatouille asked me.

"The rude girl is not here", Cassandra replied to him.

"Her incarnate is here", Ratatouille replied to her.

"Yes", I said to him.

"Asterix, can you scan the Avatar for its magic?" I asked Asterix on my earphone.

Asterix was standing on our floating pavilion, together with our team of artists illustrating this epic battle. She immediately conducted her scans on the Avatar of Shining Armor. After a brief scan, she reported the results to me.

"The magic of the Avatar is projected from the artifact statue above the knights. The knights did not project the Avatar, it is the statue device that created it", Asterix told me.

"The magic statue above the knights is the weakness of the Avatar", I told my friends.

"But how can we reach the statue? It is protected by the Avatar of Shining Armor", Chash asked me.

The Avatar of Shining Armor was projected over the graduate knights, protecting them inside its powerful body, together with the Spirit of Arothar.

"We cannot break the shining armor", Meera added.

"There is nothing that we can do about the Avatar", Cassandra said to us.

"Well, I will have to defeat the Avatar of Shining Armor myself", I replied to them.

------

"Surrender now, Viscount Oriese. If you will admit defeat now and be stripped of your Knight Templar ranking, we will forgive your transgression this time", Prince Demos of the House of Noble told me from his pavilion.

"You are still young, wait for your turn to be on the ranking", Princess Figenia told me.

"Son, you should stop your trouble making right now", Orol said to me, trying to persuade me.

The princes and princesses of the House of Nobles offered me a peace offering, provided that I would admit defeat and be subjected to the house's rules in the future.

"It is true that a Bully will run from danger with no loss of shame. But this is not the occasion for my defeat. This Giant is nothing to me", I shouted back to the House of Nobles and the spectators who came to watch our fight.

"Geoffraie, your son-in-law is too stubborn", Prince Demos shouted to Prince Geoffraie.

"The House of Nobles will offer you a place in the ranking in the future. I will make sure about it", Prince Geoffraie told me.

"I, the Bully of Starri, shall not be defeated today", I replied to them again.

"Suit yourself. You will soon be defeated by the Avatar of Arothar", Prince Macralli told me.

-----

"What are you going to do about the Avatar?" Meera asked me.

"Actually, defeating the Avatar of the Shining Armor is not difficult", I replied to her.

"What is difficult then?" Chash asked me.

"The difficulty is in making my fight look convincing and good. Tomorrow's column of Herald Times must have the visuals to support it", I replied to them.
