Hearing this, the Monkey King became furious and said, "What kind of demon is it, daring to cause trouble in my Water Curtain Cave! Don't worry, follow me out, and I'll deal with this audacious demon."
Thus, Sun Wukong took the lead and left the Water Curtain Cave, passing through the waterfall, and reaching the outside.
They were immediately confronted by a tall and robust demon leading a group of smaller demons, arrogantly shouting ahead. The demon wore a dark golden helmet that glittered under the intense sunlight, a black silk robe fluttering in the wind, and black iron armor tightly bound around the lower body. Carrying a large beheading knife, the demon was as formidable as a black bear, standing at a height of three zhang (approximately ten meters).
"Who are you, daring to make trouble in my Water Curtain Cave!" Sun Wukong leaped to the front of the demon, angrily questioning.
The demon king shouted, "I am the master of the Muddy Water Cave, the Demon King of Chaos!"
"Alright, Demon King of Chaos, I'd like to see what you're capable of." Sun Wukong replied.
Upon hearing this, the Demon King of Chaos burst into laughter, dismissively saying, "You, so short and without any weapons, dare to be so arrogant. When I use my knife, you'll be killed. Let me put down the knife and fight you bare-handed."
Sun Wukong was taken aback and said, "I didn't expect you, a chaotic demon, to be quite a man."
The Demon King of Chaos threw down his large knife and engaged in hand-to-hand combat with Sun Wukong. The two exchanged punches and kicks, collided head-on, and their fists met.
With a miserable scream, the Demon King of Chaos was sent flying dozens of zhang away, crashing through trees along the way. He lay on the ground, sweat streaming down his forehead, in pain as he held his fists.
With just one move, Sun Wukong defeated the Demon King of Chaos.
The monkeys in the Water Curtain Cave cheered, while the smaller demons from the Muddy Water Cave trembled with fear, afraid that Sun Wukong would slaughter them.
"Chaos Demon, I respect your courage, fighting me without relying on weapons. Now, I'll give you a choice: either submit to me and pledge allegiance, or I'll crush your demon head with one punch!" Sun Wukong walked up to the Demon King of Chaos and declared.
The long-armed ape watched as Sun Wukong jumped into the water, a glint of light appearing in its eyes.
As Sun Wukong entered the water, he used the Water-Prohibition technique from the Seventy-Two Transformations, effortlessly navigating through the water. Parting the water waves, he proceeded directly towards the bottom of the East Sea.
After a short while, he unexpectedly encountered a sea patrol yaksha. The yaksha blocked Sun Wukong's path and inquired, "Who goes there, causing ripples in the water? Clearly state your identity, and I will report it accordingly."
This sea patrol yaksha had quite keen eyes and recognized Sun Wukong's extraordinary nature, treating him with a degree of respect.
Sun Wukong replied, "I am the naturally born sage Sun Wukong of Flower Fruit Mountain. I am the neighbor of your old Dragon King. Hurry up and report to him."
The sea patrol yaksha, showing courtesy, asked Sun Wukong to wait for a moment and quickly turned to report to the Crystal Palace, "Your Majesty, there is a naturally born sage named Sun Wukong from Flower Fruit Mountain outside. He claims to be the neighbor of Your Majesty, requesting entry into the Crystal Palace."
Upon hearing this, the Dragon King of the East Sea immediately got up to welcome Sun Wukong, thinking to himself, "After all these years, this stone has finally become a spirit."
As Sun Wukong waited outside the Crystal Palace for a moment, Dragon King Ao Guang, accompanied by numerous dragon sons and grandchildren, came out to greet him.
Approaching, the Dragon King said, "Immortal, please come in, please come in," displaying a very polite manner.
Surprised by this, Sun Wukong found it strange. According to common sense, as a stranger arriving in the East Sea, self-proclaimed as a sage and neighbor of the Dragon King, he should have faced the Dragon King's wrath and likely punishment. However, the Dragon King not only treated him with respect but also personally came out to welcome him, addressing him as "Immortal."
The Dragon King had not witnessed Sun Wukong's abilities and this was their first meeting. Yet, he treated Sun Wukong with such courtesy. It was unusual. Not only did he show politeness, but he also addressed Sun Wukong as "Immortal."
Sun Wukong, with several questions in his mind, entered the Crystal Palace. The Dragon King asked him to take a seat, served tea, and then inquired, "Immortal, when did you achieve enlightenment, and what celestial arts were you bestowed with?"
Sun Wukong, with a sly look in his eyes, replied, "I am naturally born and self-cultivated. As soon as I came into this world, I possessed innate abilities, truly a naturally born sage."
Hearing this, the Dragon King couldn't help feeling a chill in his heart but maintained an extremely polite tone. He asked, "May I know the reason for Immortal's visit to my Crystal Palace?"
Sun Wukong said, "I have been cultivating for a long time, but I lack any weapons by my side. I have heard that the Dragon King possesses many treasures, so I've come to ask for one."
The Dragon King did not decline and immediately had his subordinates bring out a large chopping knife.
Sun Wukong said, "I don't know how to use a knife; please change it for another one."
The Dragon King then had his subordinates present a nine-toothed rake. After glancing at it, Sun Wukong used his toe to flip it into his hand, played with it for a few moments, and said, "Too light, not satisfying. Change it again."
In this manner, the Dragon King consecutively changed several weapons, but Sun Wukong was not satisfied with any of them.
Feigning helplessness, the Dragon King said, "Immortal, aside from these, my palace has no other weapons."
Sun Wukong chuckled and said, "There's a saying: 'Why worry about the Dragon King of the East Sea having no treasures?' Think again, and you might recall something."
