9:30 AM

Golden Fields Region, Verdant Haven

Réel Residence

A new day unfolded, casting a soft glow over Maurice and Aubert, surrounded by a vibrant field of blossoms.

The air was filled with the sweet fragrance of flowers in full bloom as Maurice began Aubert's very first magic lesson.

Before diving into the teachings, Maurice plucked a radiant red flower from the sea of blooms.

Holding it delicately, he initiated the conversation.

"Aubert, before we start on this lesson, think back to the time when you first accidentally levitated. Can you remember what you felt at that moment?"

Aubert, his little face scrunched up in thought, replied.

"I remember feeling happy and excited."

Maurice, kneeling to Aubert's eye level, continued, "And why do you think you felt that way?"

"Cookies! You had a tray of cookies!"

A soft chuckle escaped Maurice's lips. He then presented him with the flower.

"Hold this, Aubert."

Aubert, with his tiny fingers, embraced the vibrant blossom, gazing at it with wide-eyed wonder.

"Magic is like a delicate dance involving your heart, your feelings, and something called mana. It's more than just words or movements; it's like connecting with the special part inside you."

Aubert listened attentively, cradling the red flower in his hands.

"Mana is like a special energy that's in everything alive. It's like the magic inside us. Remember how happy you felt when you accidentally floated? That feeling made your magic come alive, and the flower danced with you."

Aubert nodded, recalling the joyous sensation.

"Now, close your eyes, Aubert," Maurice instructed. "Feel the flower in your hands, but don't just feel it with your fingers. Feel it with your heart. What do the red petals make you think of? What feelings do they bring?"

Aubert closed his eyes, lost in thought. After a moment, he opened them with a bright smile.

"It feels like passion and warmth, like when we sit by the fireplace on a cold evening."

Maurice grinned, delighted with Aubert's response.

"Now imagine that warmth flowing from your heart into the flower. Let your feelings guide your magic."

As Aubert followed Maurice's guidance, a subtle glow enveloped the red flower in his hands.

Petals gently swirled, responding to Aubert's heartfelt connection.

"You're doing great, Aubert," Maurice encouraged. "Magic isn't just about techniques; it's like talking with your heart. Your magic listens to your feelings, creating a beautiful dance of magic."

Aubert marveled at the flower's response, realizing the magical connection between his emotions and the enchantment he was discovering.

"Now picture the flower floating in the air as if it's dancing with joy in your hands."

Maurice watched with anticipation as Aubert, his eyes tightly closed, focused intently on the red flower cradled in his tiny hands.

The vibrant field of flowers seemed to hold its breath in anticipation as if nature itself was attuned to the magical moment unfolding.

Aubert, his young brow furrowed in concentration, let the warmth he felt inside flow from his heart into the red petals.

The air around them seemed to shimmer with subtle energy as the connection between Aubert and the flower deepened.

In that serene moment, a gentle crimson aura enveloped the flower, casting a warm and magical light that painted the surroundings in hues of wonder.

Maurice's eyes widened in amazement, recognizing the manifestation of Aubert's growing magical prowess.

Aubert, unaware of the visual spectacle, continued to focus, his connection with the flower intensifying.

The red aura around the flower intensified, pulsating with the rhythm of Aubert's emotions and mana.

Then, as if responding to an unseen command, the red flower gracefully lifted from Aubert's hands. It hovered in the air, suspended by the magical energy Aubert had harnessed.

The petals danced in a mesmerizing display as if performing a joyful ballet choreographed by the young magician's emotions.

Maurice couldn't contain his joy at the sight.

"Wonderful, Aubert! You're doing it!"

Aubert, opening his eyes with a mix of surprise and delight, witnessed the floating flower before him. His eyes widened, and a smile spread across his face.

Unexpectedly, the other flowers in the field began to respond to the magical energy released by Aubert and the levitating flower.

As if ignited by a mystical spark, each blossom started to glow in a spectrum of vibrant colors, creating a breathtaking display of magical brilliance.

The field transformed into a mesmerizing canvas of enchanted hues – blossoms radiating blues, greens, and purples in a harmonious symphony of colors.

Aubert, enchanted by the unfolding spectacle, felt a newfound connection with the magical essence that surrounded him.

Then, as if in response to an invisible conductor, a gentle breeze swept across the field. The wind carried with it a touch of magic, enhancing the ethereal display.

The glowing flowers, now freed from their earthly constraints, began to float gracefully in the air, swirling and dancing in a celestial ballet.

Aubert stood amidst the enchanting scene with pure wonder in his eyes.

The air was filled with the soft rustle of floating petals, and the field seemed to come alive with the magic that Aubert had inadvertently unleashed.

Maurice, observing the magical phenomenon, couldn't help but marvel at the sheer beauty of the moment.

"Aubert, you have a gift. You're not just connecting with one flower; you're harmonizing with the entire field."

Maurice then shifted his gaze to the grassy fields, only to find that all of the flowers had vanished.

The once colorful blossoms had transformed into specks of magical energy, leaving the field looking bare yet touched by an otherworldly presence.

Turning to Aubert with a knowing smile, Maurice beckoned him.

 "Aubert, come here."

Aubert, still enchanted by the remnants of the magical display, turned towards Maurice and walked over to him.

Maurice affectionately ruffled Aubert's hair.

"All right, it's time for your next lesson. You must learn how to control your mana."

Aubert nodded eagerly, ready for the next magical challenge.

"Close your eyes, Aubert, and feel the magic within you. Now, picture it as a gentle light, glowing and ready to respond to your command."

Aubert did as he was told, closing his eyes and focusing on the magical energy within.

As he did, Maurice noticed the glow of mana emanating from Aubert gradually shrinking.

Impressed, Maurice complimented him.

"Well done, Aubert. You're learning to control the flow of your mana. It's all about precision and understanding."

Encouraged by Maurice's words, Aubert beamed with pride.

However, Aubert suddenly had a questioning gaze. Why would he try to control his mana?

"Papa, why should I learn how to control my mana?"

"Ah, that's a great question, Aubert. Learning to control your mana is crucial for several reasons. One of them is that mana can be detected by other magicians. It's like a magical signature that makes each of us unique."

Maurice continued, "Picture yourself in a room of magicians, each surrounded by their swirling mana. Uncontrolled mana is like an inadvertent wave in a crowd, giving away your presence. Mastering mana manipulation empowers you to choose when and how to share your magical presence intentionally."

Aubert nodded in understanding, absorbing the importance of this magical etiquette.

Maurice chuckled, "Think of it like having a secret language with your magic, Aubert. Learning to control your mana lets you speak that language fluently and, at times, keep it hushed when needed."

Aubert's eyes sparkled with newfound understanding.

"So, it's like having a magical secret code!"

Maurice grinned, appreciating Aubert's enthusiasm.

"Exactly! And as you grow as a magician, you'll discover more secrets and wonders that come with mastering the language of magic."

Maurice continued, "Also, losing mana uncontrollably can drain your energy. Think of mana as sunlight for flowers. Letting it scatter aimlessly is like releasing sunlight into the open sky. Control your mana to conserve magical energy and avoid exhaustion."

Aubert listened attentively, absorbing the practical aspect of mana control.

"Think of it as keeping your magical batteries charged. When you need to perform a spell or create magic, having well-controlled mana ensures you have the energy to do it effectively. It's like learning to use your magical power wisely and efficiently."

Aubert nodded, beginning to grasp the importance of managing his magical resources.

"So, it's like saving my magical energy for when I need it!"

Maurice smiled, pleased with Aubert's understanding.

"Exactly. Learning to control your mana not only helps you interact with other magicians but also ensures you have the energy and strength to explore the wonders of magic without feeling weary. It's all part of becoming a skilled and balanced magician."

Maurice then imparted a crucial lesson.

"Now, Aubert, let me share with you the secret of great magic – imagination."

"Imagination!"

Maurice smiled, pleased with Aubert's enthusiasm.

"Yes! Now, picture those flowers growing back, vibrant and full of life. See them growing from the ground, petals unfolding in a beautiful display."

Aubert closed his eyes again, his imagination ignited by Maurice's guidance.

In his mind, he envisioned the field coming back to life, each flower blooming in vivid hues.

Maurice watched as Aubert's mana responded to the imaginative command.

Slowly, the mana at Aubert's fingertips transformed, and a gentle warmth emanated from his hands.

The vibrant field of blossoms, once barren, began to stir with life.

Flowers of various colors unfurled their petals in response to Aubert's imaginative command.

The air was infused with the sweet fragrance of blooming blossoms, and the landscape transformed into a breathtaking canvas of nature's artistry.

Aubert opened his eyes, a mixture of awe and joy in his expression.

"Look, Papa! The flowers are coming back!"

Maurice, delighted by Aubert's success, grinned.

"Well done, Aubert. Imagination is the gateway to extraordinary magic. Remember this lesson, and you'll become a master of the enchanting art."

Aubert beamed with joy, reveling in the beauty he had conjured with the power of his imagination.

"Now," Maurice continued, "remember this feeling. Imagination is the key to creating extraordinary magic too. Whether it's making flowers bloom or summoning otherworldly wonders, your imagination is your greatest ally."

Aubert nodded with determination, eager to explore the boundless possibilities that awaited him.

Maurice couldn't help but smile at Aubert's determination, ruffling his son's hair affectionately.

As he observed the budding talent within Aubert and cherished the magical moments they shared, a thought crossed Maurice's mind.

'It seems Aubert is pretty talented. It seems the future of the Réel magic lineage is bright.'
