Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5 SORRY, DESPISE YOU

On the original altar, the fallen bodies of more than a dozen Mo family members lay scattered, their deaths utterly tragic. A squad of Mo's armored men rushed in, led by a man wielding a sharp iron fan.

"Brother Tu Long, Elder Luo Ye has ordered us to take Ye Fan's head as an offering. We must chase him!" said a soldier urgently.

Mo Tulong glanced at the corpses of his fallen comrades, his fists clenching with anger. Pointing toward the path leading into the forest, he gritted his teeth and commanded, "Kill him!"

Under a large tree in the forest, Ye Fan was resting. The sudden acquisition of the system had him ecstatic, though he was still unfamiliar with many of its functions. Despite his newfound abilities, he knew he couldn't take on the Mo family just yet.

"Brother, why did you suddenly become so powerful?" Ye Tianyu asked, her eyes full of admiration. She remembered growing up with her brother, who had always been known as a weakling—a "wastewood" who hadn't advanced in over ten years!

Ye Fan chuckled, "Maybe I couldn't advance before because I was building a solid foundation!" He decided it was best not to mention the system. If word got out, he might be captured for research.

"Oh, what should we do in WoW Forest? Should we head down this road to Beihangong?" Ye Tianyu suggested.

Ye Fan shook his head, a fierce determination in his eyes. "We can't go to Beihangong until we've had our revenge! I'll cultivate first; you keep watch."

He sat cross-legged and entered a state of cultivation. A warm current surged from his Dantian and flowed through his veins.

"Ding ~ Activating cultivation state, points +10."

"Ding ~ Cultivating for one minute, experience +50."

"Hmm? Points! What are those?" Ye Fan wondered. In his mind, a line of text flashed, and he realized that points, like experience, could be gained through cultivation or by defeating warriors. The stronger the opponent, the more points he could earn.
