I wasn't going to make it. Although there was a chance that I would make it, I didn't want to take the gamble. The explosion had occurred less than a second just now, which means that I could still make it to where the others were, but I didn't want to bet on that opportunity.
'No, I can't go with them. With so many of us in one space, it would be difficult to evade the objects that would fall on us. Damn it! I should have told them to split up in groups and enter separate buildings!'

"Tsk." I clicked my tongue out of dissatisfaction. My eyes moved to the building to my right, as I made a decision right away.
'Furniture!' After entering the building, I took a table with me which I quickly moved to the corner of the building. Below the table, close to the walls where it would be more difficult for boulders to go through before reaching me, I sat down with my hands covering my head.
