Right after reassuring him, I muttered a few words that might have destroyed his anticipation that was coming back though. I said, "I can't be confident with the abundance though, now that I've seen how deserted this place is. I can't tell for sure how far this high plain expands into the horizon."
The surroundings of ours weren't too different to the underground town, except for the fact that the buildings were built better, fancier, and with better purpose. Also, the buildings weren't that many, as there were only buildings that served purpose. I wasn't sure if all of the buildings do serve a purpose however, as I had no idea what some buildings were meant for until I checked their interior.
